While the FAQ is packed with information and I have used it many times, it does not contain every possible strategy for leveling this profession. If you need money and don't mind being bored as hell, follow the FAQ. If you like some variety and adventure, take your Teras Kasi to Endor at Novice (buffed of course) and attack every single nest you see. Many nest will spawn 12 or more critters, and you don't have to join a solo group or fly back and forth for missions either. I have done the Dantooine grind many times, and I never want to see another quenker or huurton again.
Good luck on your grind. Mix it up a bit and it will be a lot more fun.

When buffed and in solo groups, I have actually found Huurton Huntress missions to provide more xp than Quenker missions. Pay is about the same (not much in either case), the Huntresses give about 4k xp a piece and they have lower kinetic resists than any of the "special" quenkers.
When you take a mission for "A Quenker Lair" you might get there to discover that they are Relic Reapers, who have high Kinetic resists. I tried Quenkers (in fact mastered Commando quickly that way) but I plan to go after Huntresses to get to TKM. I was getting 200k xp per hour this way tonight.

That's why you pay attention to the payout of the mission. The credit reward will tell you, without fail, exactly what you are getting.

Yes, once you can meditate off poison, almost anything on Yavin is easy pickings. Most of it is pretty decent exp too. Whenever I got bored of dantooine lag, I'd head to Yavin and just hop on the swoop, drive around, and kill everything. I'd go back to the outpost every now and then to grab another couple spider missions, then do the same again. Only thing really bad about dath and yavin is that (at least on my server) there's no player towns to repair your vehicle at. Which is why I bought a BE mount... heh.

They are wild planets, and on every server there are no player towns, they can't be built.

Endor is also a "wild planet", you can't add houses or cities, or really anything but a harvester.

Well that's about the silliest thing ever. No wonder nobody goes there.

I tend to spend a lot of time on Endor actually. I even go back to Yavin IV quite a bit...

Once I reached Novice TKA, I went to the Mining Outpost on Yavin IV and took Kliknik missions. However, I spent alot of time taking out the wild lairs as well. Beware though, the last wave of Klikniks that come out of some of these lairs can be rather challenging; that is, some lairs yield a wave containing a Kliknik Mantis and about 12 Kliknik Hatchlings. Be certain you have sufficient quantities of Vasarian Brandy and Arisa with you, and you should be fine. During my stay on Yavin IV, I focused on leveling up the Power Techniques branch.
Once I had earnedMaster Power Techniques, I went to the battlefield about 2000m north of the Smuggler Outpost on Endor. I walked around and around the battlefield and took out everything. You'll earn the most XP taking out Merek lairs. Beware though, the last wave of Mereks that come out of some of these lairs can be extremely challenging; that is, some lairs yield a wave containing a King Merek Harvester, a Queen Merek Harvester, and four Toxic Merek Battlelords. Do not attempt these lairs unless you have decent composite armor. During my treks to Endor, I leveled up the Meditative branch first and then the Balancing branch.
Good luck.

It's not silly. How would you like to have to get on a swoop with some armor maybe, just to get to your house? There are lairs everywhere on Endor and Dathomir. And that isn't really the reason nobody goes there. The creatures are not as tough on Dantooine, and they don't really DB, so there is a less chance of dieing.

I have to say that I am surprised that no one has said a think about the Jinta/korga caves on Endor...I myself have mastered all of the hybrid professions there usually in less than 5 days and that is only playing about 4 hours a day which in the grand scheme of things is small time...Get some decent Kinetic resist armor and a good doc buff you should be pulling out about 400k xp per cave and that is if you are lucky enough to get it by yourself you just run around and Spin-Attack 1 til it hurts they will drop like flies, and they also drop great loot AA, CA, Loot kit pieces, Force Crystals too!!!

lol my first trip to Dathomir had no buffs and everything was a Red Con so I spent the whole time running. Even with all my wonderfully capped BE clothes, my mask scent kept breaking and I got aggro'd by everything and anything. I also almost lost a Swoop because a Nightsister took a shotat it (1500 dmg)while I was trying tospeed away. I did manage to kill a bull rancor. Lucky for me he aggro'd a herd of non-aggressives and payed no attention to me while I wailed on him with Unarmed Hit 2.
