Personly, I like it, to a point. But I do hate how it would make so many TKAs look the same, any bounus in robes would go the route of so many other bonuses in the way that people would start to feel it is required.

My prefered idea is this, robes that provide no bonus what so ever, & a sash that has a small bonus on. So theres still robes if the TKA choses to wear them, & these a small belt/sash that makes others (if they wish) stand out a bit more, get a bonus, but still dress how they choose.

But they are not something thats going to happen any time soon simply as there is such a split opinion on them.

The thing is, IMOmost professions SHOULD have something "unique" appearance wise that can help identify them to their profession. Not something they HAVE to use/wear, but an item or clothing that they can wear that says "Hey, I'm xxx profession".

Riflemen automatically can be pulled out of any crowd - Rifles are large enough to scream "Yes, I'm a Rifle user". Jedi of course have their Robes.

Items/Clothing wearable by specific professions just seems like a good idea to add flavor to the Game. But As a TK, the LAST thing I want to wear is a Robe and be confused/ID'd as a Jedi. Special gloves maybe, a Sash as Mankind mentioned.. But never a Robe.

I think this is a really good idea. Tera Kasi having more a martial art look to it...I mean I've trained in four martial art's, so I know style is everything
But it would be so cool to have our own style

I love the idea, its been on the forums here for a long long long time now!

I would like it if:
-It were a quest item. (more content)
-You could choose from 4 different ones (each skill tree)
-Perhaps a bonus to the chosen one.
-It's not tradable.
-You can choose the colors your self.

I really think that each and every professoin should have someting similar. Clothes, weapons, equipment etc etc. If only tkm's get it, it would create havoc lol.

And if they introduced somethin like that. Like a master degree quest with a reward, it would bring more fun stuff to do hehe

THAT WOULD BE FREAKING SWEET!

I was thinking maybe even some sort of smock thats covers all your body but head, maybe even some new sandals. I just got TKM, and i am havin some trouble finding some clothes just to wear around, they wouldnt need to have any mod, I just want some new duds!

O and SCA, you had a good idea, a nice lil quest for TKMs, one for monk, warrior, expert, and mystic. but i wouldnt like it if everyone had every robe. A diffrent looking one for each, i dont want to go as far as only one quest ever. Yeha, bio-linking them would be a must, other than that IT IS AWESOME.

Bingo.

I originally liked the idea of TKA robes, but then I got to thinking how much I liked my character's unassuming look when he is running around in his clothes while everyone else is in armor. I think I'd much rather get an attachment that I can add to clothing of my choosing.

I agree... I am trained in Martial Arts as well and there are different outfits (gi) dependent on style. The most recognizable, IMO, are the Karate gi's and the Kung Fu gi's. Both very different and lend to the style of the art.

I currently wear a decorated vest and a skirt and i have an outfit that looks a bit like the one 'Seraf' from the Matrix wears. I would love to see something more inline with what others have suggested. I do think that there should be some mod on the clothes though. As i said, the clothes are styled for the type of martial art and allow for free movement so i am thinking a speed bonus and a defense bonus.

Just my .25 credits worth.

We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen." - JULIO TORRES

Robes for teras kasi? As logn as they don't provide any bonuses, or - worst case - get our mods lowered to compensate I am fine with it.
But being forced to wear robes like jedi are? Never! Not every TKA is a monk. And the last thing we need is an incentive to lose even more customisation options. We should encourage diversity, not cookiee-cutter looks.

(Besides, you can already choose a pretty monkish outfit, and anyone who wants to be recognised as a TKM can put the title on.)

Take away the 20 inert defense you get at master and add the robes maybe You realise if you got 20 more inert armor at master its 80% sorta defeats the point of the armor nerf with cu

tk allways whined about robes before now that you dont need them and have to not use armor your still wanting.

60innate armor does NOT equal 60% armor. It equals a 6000 armor rating, which in turn provides 48.5% damage reduction.

Kinda think we TK's do have our own style I go out in a cherry-red hotpants-and-sportswrap combo sometimes, the same in basic white, also have my tan and white 'Rebel' suit for when I go undercover in Rebel territory...a red trader's flightsuit for my pilot business, and everybody can tell when I'm on official Imperial business, 'cause I'll be in my dress greys. Plus a few other outfits.

Who else can say they go out into combat in the heights of sometimes-BE'd fashion? The heck with ugly clunky armor... So while robes would be fun, I doubt I'd be wearing 'em much nowadays

i think ANYTHING that adds to unique toons is awsome. i also dont want items/clothing to be a MUST (im against jedi robes that all look EXACTLY the same...GIVE JEDI DIFFERENT COLOUR OPTIONS!!!!). i dont want to be forced to wear a [insert clothing item] or be usless!

i like how the "sea of composite armour" is gone, and i like that TK's can CHOOSE to use/not use the various VKs.

that's where i think SWG is lacking over all- in the customization aspect- and the DEVs are making good steps to change that!!

keep the UNIQUE toon aspects coming!!!!!!!
