Wow, guess I was the only one really dissapointed in the moive...The scene near the begining where Anakin has the first vision about Padme, and Padme is "sleeping" with her hair done up, make-up on, and jewlery still in? What woman does that? I thought seeing Palpatine jumping and fliping around all over the place corny. Hated seeing Yoda run from Palpatine for the first half of their fight until he remembered his powers and fought back. Didn't like seeing Yoda fall 3 or 4 stories in his fight with Palpatine and be unharmed? As mentioned before, the Jedi fell too easily. Thought the scene with Windu and Palpatine was horrible (as is the voice for the Emporer as already mentioined). Thought the scene where Palpatine kills 3 of the Jedi "masters" with Windu looked really bad with it's attepmt at slow motion. The scene right after Windu was killed and Anakin pledges himself to Palpatine, was forced, fast, and had bad acting. I didn't like Vader's "Dr. Frankinstien" scene at the end breaking out of the restraints as it was corney. And why wouldn't Owen Lars look at Obi-wan when he came to drop off Luke at the end? It looked like he didn't like him at all, but was willing to take a child in from him? Natalie Portman is very beautiful, but had horrible acting parts in this one ("hold me like you used to...")

Ok I'm just going to comment on the little red part

purly scientific, the amount of damage done to yoda would had depended on his actual mass and the gravity inwhich the planet has . . . the lower the mass, the softer the impact relatively. falling doesn't hurt . . its the sudden stop and the natural force which pushes back at you from the ground refered to as the "normal" force hitting you that makes the hurt.. If yoda is super light, we wouldn't take much damage . . . kind alike dropping an ant from 5 feet doesn't really affact it.

from a non scientific mindset . . its a movie . . . suspend your disbelief beisdes . .Yoda is cute

I loved the movie - some of the dialog was aweful, but the story was good, the characters were good, and the action was awesome. I think many of the story lines and back stories were resolved.

I have to admit, that from the point of Anakin been confronted with the decision on whether to help Palpatine or let Windu finish him I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if Anakin had let Windu kill him.

However, I did think it was strange that Windu said "I am going to arrest you" to Palpatine about 500 times, then when Anakin walks in he just goes "nope - too dangerous" and decides to kill him. Didn't seem to me like that would be in Windu's (or a Jedi's) character.

I think the reason Mace's view changed was because he suddenly realised that Palpatine had a hold on Anakin (explained better in the novel of the movie) and if he could do that to the chosen one, then he was a major threat that would easily be able to weasel his way out in a trial, so took it upon himself to be judge, jury and executioner. Mace's undoing however was that he didn't realise just how much of a hold Palpatine had over Anakin. Of course the true player of the piece was Palpatine as he made both Anakin and Mace believe he had been drained of his powers when his force lightning was bounced back on himself by Mace with his sabre. Enhanced of course by the fact it had scarred/deformed him immensely.

It was too late for Anakin IMO by the time it got to that scene, his onlypossible turn point would've been when Padme was talking about going to Naboo to raise the kids. But even then it would've been tough as he had already had the vision of seeing Padme diegiving birth and he was worried it'd be just like the visions he had had of his mother... had he seen the cause of that vision (ie him force choking Padme) THEN I either he would've sided with Mace Windu or he wouldn't have been in the office at all and followed Mace's order to stay away and to ensure his trust.
