I would guess because the nightsister would just ignore you like a fly. If you aren't doing any damage, 100% kinetic resist, then you are not a threat and can't pull aggro. This is merly conjecture based on the information provided by the other posters since I do not attack things with 100% resists, or at least haven't tried yet.

eh, 100% kinetic resist or not, they will still take damage from time to time. And you CAN knock them down, and they will usually aggro whatever is closest, regardless of who is doing the most damage, else they would ignore me and go after my commando buddy everytime.
