They offer no protection, but they offer other bonuses like force regeneration that make them attractive over armor. TKs were asking for something similar, but appropriate for TKs.

It was a suggestion for more content and for alternative combat means.

to answer non-related posts:

My disclaimer, was basically letting the the Correspondent know whereI come from, a wookiee who uses no armor and no VKs..faring fairly well in PvP from it, especially being a furball.

Correct,I was only speaking for myself, no one else in this capacity,

though I strongly feel TKMs wearing armor should be disallowed...OR If they choose to, they shouldlose all TK abilities/mods while wearing it (much like losing any cross trained dodge/block/counterattack abilities if you goUnarmed in combat), though they should retain any Unarmed abilities they learn in the Brawler tree while wearing armor.

For there is no feasible way to do what we do as TKMs/TKAs (attacks and defenses) wearing the armor folk do. Even meditation in armor should be changed (force the player to remove the armor sothe person can become 'comfortable' enough to actually do it). Either you go all the way, or don't. TKMs in armor .. aren't imho. They are just using the TK to further 'enhance' another profession, (estimating90% of the combat professions have an earnedTK tree or more). Taking armor from the TK profession is a huge step in the right direction of what really needs to be focused on. The body is the focus of the TKM, whereas othercombat professions, the focus is their weaponry.

You could say, that w/o armor a TKM is worthless,I woulddebate thatyou're playing the class incorrectly, for yes it will need working (what class doesn't feel that way), but it's still one of the most exciting professions in the game, especially if the Devs, bring it back to what it should be; and focus more from there. (i.e. 'Skin-like-steel' abilities, or damage-absorbtion abilities INSTEAD of armor).

but all of this is another discussion that de-rails this thread. we can take it to another, please.

:end of non-post related reply

Was hoping thisthread would provide more ideas forcontent like quests/rank for TKMs that would allow for more of us to meet and talk in-game as well, much like the jedis are doing now.

I think Ideally there should bea weopon reward at master. Like say a Katar type weopon. Wrist blades were commonly used once by martial artists because their training allowed them to use such weopons as a ballet of death.

There could be multiple types as well. Such as a electric/stun version or even a more enlightened jedi dueler oriented version of a lightsaber wrist blade. Like a scaled down version of the Jedi's lightsaber. IF a TKA are to keep Jedi in check shouldn't they have a weopon capable of deflecting a Jedi's symbol of power?

electric/stun version or even a more enlightened jedi dueler oriented version of a lightsaber wrist blade

No No No No No No No. Why? Because we'll get nerfed to oblivion. Only thing Fencer has over Pike and TKA really is stun. We get stun damage, it screws Fencer in every department with the exception of - Specific pool hit and dodge. Considering you can stack dodge, its really only pool hit. We'll get nerfed really badly by cries of thousands of melee-ers.

Same applies to Pike. Only thing they have is AoE, DoT weps (rare drop), and a good damage type in high end PvE.
Lightsaber. More absurd.

So you propose a TKA with practically every single useful damage type in the whole game? Great. Here comes the time where TKAs hit for 2k Dmg per sec against full comp.

I think cold is a good idea. Stun is used by Fencer, Electric by Pike, Blast by Sword. I wouldn't mind Heat though, I think the RKs will be sufficient enough. You can't win 'em all.

Sorry forplaying the devil's advocate but, I couldn't pass this up.

Do you guys remember the movie kickboxer with that ballerina Jean-Claude Van-Damn? Before his fight with Tong-Po he dipped his glove covered hands in glue and then proceeded to dip it in broken glass. Imagine that, unblockable glass damage!

Just kidding. Nobody listen to my Idea. Lower armor and NPC kinetic resists. I like my VK's.

No... robes are attractive because they CANT wear armor, and rather than regular clothes, they wear those..
