It depends. Regular play? I don't wear armor, in fact my stats are tuned towards not wearing armor, having no buffs,and just relying on food and power boost. I don't have any medic either. I enjoy the challenge and usually have 10 different foods/spices in my inventory at any one time and mix and match them based on the situation.

When do I wear armor?

I wear armor when grinding out faction from faction missions since ranged attacks hurt.

I wear armor when I really need to make money fast by grinding out destroy missions.

I wear armor for high end PvE content where you really have no choice but to wear something.

I don't really PvP that much, but I'd probably wear it in those situations simply because you really have no choice.

I usually go without armor unless I'm in a situation where I know I'll be ganged up on. Wook armor sucks and I look like an unhealthy mix between Oscar the grouch and Mr. Magoo when I wear it.
