the only reason that wouldn't was was then you would be master of ranged and melee, and really not have many weaknesses. They really need a melee specific BH profession

As of Pub 20, you need to be MBH to hunt players.
What I do feel should happen is to make either a Melee Bounty Hunter profession (I don't think they would ever add another profession, but they did add Shipwright, so you never know) OR make a FEW professions have alternate pre-requisites. For instance, I think that Combat Medic should be Ranged Healing 4 (from medic 0400) and Ranged Support 4 OR Polearms 4 (because that line doesn't get used as much) so that there can be even more diversity, and that is what the CU was about: a more diverse profession templates in people now that you can overlap similar attacks and such.
Bounty Hunter might have the option of having its pre-requisites be Exploration 4 (unchanged) and Ranged Support 4 OR Unarmed 4. Oh no! Teras Kasi Fundementals?! Are you out of your mind? No, I am of complete mental health, just like all of you. I think because in the EU SOME Teras Kasi practitioners fought with Jedi, we should be given the same oppritunity. And because a Melee would essentially be going into a ranged profession, BH should also get several melee attacks and mods.
But this would only make Bounty Hunter more of a FOTM. And we don't realy want that (although if you read some of the SW books, you find that everyone and their kitchen sink is/was/is going to be a bounty hunter).
A Melee Bounty Hunter would be great to have in the game, but with the current state of it all, if you want to hunt Jedi, or even NPC bounties for that matter, you have to have the Bounty Hunter class in your template, for Jedi hunting, you will now have to have Master Bounty Hunter.
An addition of a Melee Bounty Hunter profession is not that far fetched seeing how they added Shipwright to the game, its not like they couldn't do it again. Yes, I know that they added Shipwright for a reason, JTL, a Melee Bounty Hunter would not be as important.
Again, I am sorry I got the facts messed up. Flame away if you must. And I doubt that these changes will ever take place if not for quite a while. If you also think that my idea should be changed, please state it so. I like to hear other peoples ideas as well.

Where the EU is basically Fan Fiction that has been approved by Lucas Arts. If a TKM decides to hunt down a Jedi, then that's his prerogative. However, as an official order of the Teras Kasi Masters, we do not hunt down and kill Jedi. Our art was designed to combat the strengths of a Jedi, which means we should be able to stand toe-to-toe with a Jedi, not wipe them off the face of the galaxy.

You would find most of the specials you get with BH are incompatible with TK, as they require a ranged weapon in most cases.

I have to vehemently disagree with this statement. I've been out fighting CL85+ mobs without any issue using just my TIA and basic foods (Spiced Tea, Blob Candy, Caf, etc...the grind foods) and I am easily taking more damage than I have a right to.
Now...if you're talking about aggro management and offensive output, then yeah, TKM alone does you nothing. But the system is not built for TKM alone anymore. The old ways are dead...die with them or evolve.
