OK so I just blew 3 mil on a dumb ubese armor shirt. It counts as clothing so it doesn't break TIA but it also doesn't take AAs... oh well, it doesn't decay, at least...
sounds like you got ripped off.
PreCu there were Non Decay Shirts & Bando's that take CA's ( They are no longer craftable)
also
there were Non Decay Belts ( They are no longer craftable) that take AA's.
ON BRIA they have been selling between 2 to 5 mil, so 3mil isn't a bad price.
Neither of these PreCu Items effect Innate Armour ![]()

Also want to know if a personal shield will take away from inate armor?
Also want to respond to the one that says his ubese shirt will not decay, sure other clothes and armor will decay, but other types of clothes still keep there mods working even after decaying to 0/(what ever max was), and armor also even though it decays i've found it stil keeps the resists and protections it had after decay, tested it even by taking a complete set of destryed armor and and no armor . I took damage from the exat same lvl and type of MOB, it came out that no armor took tons more damage then totaly destroyed armor did. just FYI. this test was done before i worked my self back to tka , while I was still a MBH (which i'm working on replacing with MTK)
I have not tried a PSG with TK armor, however it is unaffected with Jedi innate armor so I imagine it won't affect TK armor.

You can wear any Armor Boots/Gloves, Ubese Shirt/Bandolier, Mabari Belt and so onwithout losing Innate Armor. This is verified several times by me. Even let me beat by a cute ladyto know for sureSo, should have enough space for AAs and CAs. IF you still find some Boots/Gloves with sockets. Check the vendor search as those items don't have sockets PreCU.Message Edited by Xpert on 07-14-2005 11:32 PM
WRONG...
Gloves DEFINATLY break TIA... I couldn't figure out why I wasn't seeing any mitigation on my TKN/Smuggler and then noticed I had Ubese Gloves on... Removed them ( and deleted so I didn't make the mistake again) and put on the leather I meant to have and bingo... Armour again
To my belief, only items that offer protective values* break innate armor. The Ubese 'Armor' Shirt (for example) is considered a clothing piece(even under clothing/shirts on the bazaar). The exception being PSGs, as I don't believe they break the innate armor.
* 'Armor' Boots and Gloves not verified
As far as I can tell, PSGs don't break TIA
But it also means you can't wear any belts. It's one or the other.
Does anyone know of a link to where they list whats Real Armor and whats clothing? That would be really useful.
Or to reword, What does and doesnt break innate armor?
Seen tons of threads off and on, about this, be helpful to have a link to stop confusion.
