Brawler trainers are testing out TKA robes now. ![]()
Coincidentally, those kind of look like Shaolin Monk robes.

That's a Dress Robe - any half-way decent tailor can make one of those for you.

TKA Robes at the moment arn't anything thats even been suggested to the Devs, theres too much in way of differnt opinions on them & so they are something I doubt we would see.
If we were to get the robes people would want mods, if they got mods people would start feeling they are esential. All TKAs would look the same. If they didn't get mods, no one would want them & so they would never be used.
As someone else said the idea of maybe having a sash or something is a posibility that has been suggested by Ryutek (the Correspondent before me), & myself after that, but it's a discussion really for another time, once the base of our proffesion is more sorted.
Edit: Just to add why not just give your local tailor a shout & see what (s)he can knock up for you? Theres quite alot of robes that could be used if you wanted something like that.

There really arent. Seriously have a look, most are all frilly, limited to women only, or have limited/crappy colour palettes. We need some proper robes, not the half-arsed "dresses for men" we have now.
As for the smart arse with the Buddhist comments: naw, ya think?
See, not many people know about the actual Star Wars religions, so if I were to wander about in normal clothing and start going on about the Circle of Balance, nobody would know what the f*ck I was on about. People equate bald heads and orange robes with monks who live in solitude and seek enlightenment and balance, its easier than having to explain six f*cking pages of background every time I meet a new RP'er. Happy now?

Easy there big fella. Just as soon as we start bringing things in from outside of the Star Wars universe, it will get all out of hand. Pretty soon all these anime freaks will want to be able to create a character that looks like their favorite cartoon. I have seen it happen in JA, and in a game outside of Star Wars. So relax, and let's keep it as true to Star Wars as we can. I mean it is bad enough that all the Jedi are supposed to be dead, and we have all these light and dark side Jedi running all over the galaxy. Do they train under Luke or Vader? No! So let's do our best to keep our whinning to something more useful.

Guys there are plenty of outfit choices that can be used to simulate a tkm/monk type of character. I use the robe of honor myself, but you could also use the grand mayoral robes or even the plain short robe for a more shaolin monk type character. Just find a decent tailor and they'll happily make the stuff for you. You could commision these items with any skill mods you wanted if you find the right tailor/bio-eng.
