yes as the unarmed profession we need to have access to rifles/carbines/pikes/deathstars/bomb kittens(they look like really cute kimas untill they go BOOM)


If you want other weapons you can master 2 other melee professions and part of a another.

Nope, they nerfed the bomb kittens. you have to settle for Deathstars now

I dunno, I would like to see the razor knuckler do stun damage, or perhaps we could do stun damage if we did not have a weapon equipped. That would be nice, seeing as how nearly all people in PvP wear 80% or better kinetic/heat resists, so unless we manage a successful KD in PvP, it is very hard to win. For example, I pvp'ed a bit in cnet today, I was unbuffed and so was the other guy. I managed to successfully KD him and since he did have a mnd buff, I proceeded to unarmedhit3 him continuously. It was a really good KD and he did not manage to get up for a long time, but he had on his good kinetic resist armor and it took forever to kill him. He even got up and I had to KD him again. Had he been buffed, it would have taken forever to kill him, even if I was using head hit, and he probably would have killed me first.


/shrug I dunno, it seems all the other proffs have stun damage, maybe we should too. For PvE I don't think there is a better proff, but the lack of a viable alternative to kinetic damage makes it a difficult PvP proff. Don't get me wrong, I think this is one of the most well-balanced proffs in the game, and I would never drop it. Just thinking it would be nice to be able to deal stun damage.

All of them? Really? What other reason would you have for stun other than it's the best damage you could do currently? Do you really think it will continue to be like that after the combat balance?

yeah, when I picked it up way back when, I was surprised to see that there was a weapon for it. i was like "wait a minute, this is supposed to be UNarmed..." oh well, I won't say that i dont like the VK, although it does destroy your HAM if you are unbuffed

Ewww, people talking about stun damage again!!!!! Apparently after the combat upgrade STUN WON'T BE GOD DAMAGE anymore. If I heard correctly, it was never supposed to be as strong as it is, but I see people asking for stun damage on these boards (and other professions that don't have stun, "I wanna stun flute!") because they don't know any other way to fix it. Wait untill after the Combat Upgrade, unless you have a viable idea pertaining to that, because the game will change, a lot.

  1. combat sandbox hasn't started yet. no one knows the first thing about it exceptthe devs, save what TH has posted.

  2. stun was only good in the first place because composite armor was vulnerable to it. the ONLY thing comp was vulnerable to. even now, the best stun protection you can get on any server is around 40%, which is less than half of the base resists in my pvp armor. prior to stun layers, the jawa rifle and acklay stun baton totally unbalanced pvp. Now, since stun batons are AP0 and jawas are AP1, things have balanced out more. If it weren't for enhancements like krayt tissues and acklay bones, the damage output of these weapons would be negligible.

  3. a stun VK with comparable damage to what we have now and AP1 would give the TK nerf-criers that much more ammunition, and we don't need that

we do need another damage type, regardless of what these purists argue, but i agree that stun is not the way to go.

    I'm not a purist, I think TK should have another damage type. But I've looked at a lot of boards, and the first thing that comes to peoples mind is stun. Now I know nobody knows about what will happen after the Combat Upgrade, but in my opinion things will change a lot. I think we should put off asking for band-aid wepons that would lead to our nerf (stun) and just wait for the upgrade. TKM is very balanced right now, and we don't NEED more stuff, it would just be nice.
