Thread: Who is better at PvE, Master Pistoleer or TKM ?
Well armored and buffed, I might vote pistoleer. Against certain mobs including bull/enraged rancors tka is better. But npc's are a bit trickier cause medium armor and 100% kinetic.. With pistols you have several damage types to choose from. Dunno, I like my tka and just avoid those nasty resist mobs if im solo.
Col. Cristos Diaz Pistoleer is really nice at PVE, you can hit multiple targets at once still i think with fanshot, or if not multiple targets, then one target multiple times doing some very high damage. If you grab some fencer dodge mods your going to be even harder to hit.
Fencer/Pistoleer/TKM is a nice template.
MCH is nice if you get some good BE'd pets....
There is no right answer to this. It all depends on the situation you find yourself in. In PvE I have used my pistoleer/rogue skills to start the attack do a ranged kd and finish them up as a MTKA. In other situations I use my MTKA KD/Dizzy and then pull out my DX2 to kite the target from a safe distance especially if I am low on mind.
I'm not so sure after just reading some post here. One guy under post "tka isnt as good as everyone thinks" says he has to think twice before taking on an enraged rancor as a tkm. I use a pet (maybe he didnt) but have no problems with them whatsoever as a master pistoleer. I can spam stopping shot and put down that rancor in a few minutes easily.
