"you did not say melee profession You said that swordsman were the ones with the blast weapon."
This thread is discussing the balance between melee professions, not ranged professions. That's a mess I wouldn't get into.

No bleeds are necessary for TK. Even if they were useful, as they might be post revamp, this is the only profession that can put every state in the game on a foe without dabbling. Even carbineers cant do that, and they are supposed to be the crowd control profession.

No, no, no. No bleeds. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the lack of bleeds is one of the things keeping TKAs from getting a nerf. If we got a bleed, we might lose something like knockdown or being able to heal wounds from meditation.
TKAs have many advantages that other melee professions don't have, and other advantages that no other profession has. To be able to keep those professions, TKAs have to make sacrifices. It's why the TKA profession is considered by many to be the most balanced combat profession in the game.
It's not true that a TKA has no way of getting loot from a Nightsister Elder. You're not restricted to one profession, you can take up something like Rifleman or Swordsman. And a Nightsister Elder is something I doubt anyone could solo anyways without some kind of exploit. Trust me, I have fought Axva Xvim (sorry for spelling I don't feel like looking it up) and it's insane. Even were you to have an alternative damage type, or a bleed, she has so much HAM, has so many other resists, and does so much damage (including Force attacks!) that she can wipe out a group of elite, buffed, armored combatants quickly. She can even summon 8 powerful helpers to overwhelm you as you fight her.
As for only doing kinetic damage, we have a heat damage knuckler coming later, so just be patient, we won't be stuck with kinetic forever.

TKA Dosent need a Bleed, TKA dosent need AoE Knockdown, TKA dosent need AoE Posture Change. What we need is different damage type which we are getting.
All of us here who has chosen TKA Proffesion, have the MOST Balanced proffesion at our disposal in this game, asking for any more than we have will just fuel the trollers nerf calls.

Hello fellow TerasKasi artists. I have been giving some thought to the fact that TK is a well mixed blend of the other three melee professions, fencer, swordsman, and pikeman. (I come to this conclusion since TK has the ability to use head, body, and leg hit yet the other melees have stronger versions of only one pool; and that tk can dodge, counter-attack, and block yet the others have a stronger version of only one type; tk can stun, blind, and dizzy yet fencer blinds, pikeman stuns, and swordsman dizzies.) Each of the melee professions has a bleed, which can go up to level 2. I have noticed that the tk "combo 1 and 2" abilities are utterly useless. Seriously, ask yourself when it would be necessary to attack all 3 ham bars instead of focusing solely on one. How many of you think that combo should be a bleeding attack instead of a damage attack? I mean, having all threepools bleed would be awesome, and wouldcertainly be nifty in both PVP and PVE.Combo 2 would change from damaging all three pools to bleeding them with the strengthequal to the fencer body bleed lvl 1, swordsman head hit level 1, and pikeman leg hit lvl 1(combo 1 would onlybleed body and leg). If necessary, this move could bebalanced out by putting higher ham costs on it (ONLY IF NECESSARY). I feel as though this is one of the aspects that tk lacks. Please let me know what some of you out there think, especially if you feel if unarmed combo is any good as it currently is(i'd like to know why). Hopefully if enough people agree we might get this idea into the game w00t!
Ability to cause3pools tobleed? that would be very overpowering, you would essentially be giving TK's a DOT attack.
Combo 1 and 2 seem to have a slightly higher dps, as well as low HAM costs, so I use them pretty frequently when I'm unbuffed and unarmored instead of UH3. They also seem to focus more on the Health pool, which make them quite useful in pvp duels
I wouldn't call them "utterly useless"![]()

A bleed that does 1 point of damage and happens maybe once out of every 10 fights doesn't count as a bleed.
And actually, I use bleeds all the time with pistoleer, bleeds are pretty useful.

50 - 100 point HAM DOT on a thing with 10k HAM is pretty damned useless. I feel sad for you, that the pistoleer profession is gimped enough on damage, that the bleed seems worthwhile lol.

Bleeds are useful for more than just killing things, you can use a bleed to maintain aggro for an NPC which really helps pulling. And note that DOTs of all kinds are not subject to the 75% damage restriction in PvP, and in PvP 50-100 damage can be a lot.
DOTs also ignore resistances too. A DOT is perfect for fighting someone with powerful armor you can't normally land damage on.
