Hey again,

Played for about 35 minutes this morning (GMT), had to travel from Talus to Corellia (was on Talus) so I could find some easier mobs to kill. Spent about 10 minutes (max) with my VK, composite and buffs and got my first brawler box

Onward and Upward

Got a question though, I have two VKS, both have speedof around2.0. One has better damage, one is faster... which one should I use?

(BTW, higher speed the better? e.g. 2.0 is slower than 2.1?)

2.0 is the quicker one .... as for grinding especially up to the novice box ... you need speed the most (since you do not even get a cert for the knucklers until the novice, the dmg on the vks matters not until then)

on any weapon the lower the speed number the faster the weapon

I'd say get off Talus!!!

Nothing there worth killing for decent XP.

Lots of random spawns on Dantooine lately, Huurtons are easy and like to swarm so you can cut them down with unarmedSpinAttack in short order.

Regular Bols are good xp too. ANd of course Savage Quenkers (3400xp per kill). they dont put up much of a fight and with good armor on you dont have to worry much about incaps since they attack in pairs mostly.

Plus you can take the Huurton or quenker missions alone without a solo group. Pay is between 5k and 8k - Pikets at 11k-14k.

Good Luck

I'm struggling to find people who will buff me. When my friends are busy I go to Correlia and go to the cantina, (maybe get some mind buffs from dancers etc) but I can never find any doctors etc who are willing to buff me (or are not AFK). I'm willing to pay for it etc.

Will I be mob food if I go fight the mobs the last person suggested without buffs? And if so, any ideas of a good way to get buffs etc or does anyone know anyone on the Eclipse server willing to buff me?

One other thing, what's the best way to get into a group? The only groups I've ever been in were with my friends, but they're busy etc and too high level for me to be any real use.

Im On Corbantis mostly but regardless of server there is at least one doc buffing at the Mining outpost on Dantooine at any given time.

Also there are alwayspeople spamming for solo groups, either looking for members or looking to join there.

I have found TK largely ineffectual unbuffed. The speed of the attacks and the ham costs for the moves means you damage yourself far faster then your enemy would in the same amount of time. Buffs are a must for combat unless you can kill your enemy in 10 seconds.

I have to use Pistoleer when unbuffed and even then I have to watch it.

while it is true that if you spam UH3 without pause (whilst unbuffed) you will incap your self rather quickly. however, a little forethought will make this possibilty occur less often. personally i like fighting unbuffed. adds a little excitement and requires strategy. However, it does make things easier with a little brandy. try not using your Vk's. lessens HAM cost dramatically.

I did reg quenkers on Dant without buffs for the most part on my TC char. Just get 80% armor (chest, gloves, boots, helm) and good Stim B's (as in over 400 pr heal)

BTW, It occured to me while on Correlia, that to commemorate (sp?) an event we should create a giant konga line! i.e. The first person leads, the second person follows the first, the third follows the second and so on... It'd look realy cool

My first elite profession was TKM... I tried many other elite combats after that, but I couldn't settle on anything else that I liked. Pikes was close, the feeling you get when you area-KD a mob is brill, but nothing ever compared to tka. My fondest combat memory was in the geo-caves, long before 80% armour was about (I'm guessing I would have been using 60ish%) and the food was not so great either... my group of three went to the caves, and I crashed in a big spawn room. When I logged back on, they'd both died, but I was still going strong. I crashed a further 3 times but not once did I struggle... my dead friends stopped to watch (and I was also getting the loot for them) because it was so funny!
