To beat them you group with someone else. Why do you think TKAs complain so much about being restricted to kinetic? It sure isn't because of PvP. 
I'm a pistoleer, and the only way I ever really damage a Nightsister Elder is with my Republic Blaster which does decent energy damage.
Note that the Nightsister Elder is definitely an example of a creature that nobody is supposed to solo. But with buffs and armor being as insane as they are some people can solo them.

I've killed several NS Elders when I was sword/doc, sure it took awhile and lots of healing but it can be done
now that I'm TKM I need to find good motors

make friends with a jedi, ns are weak to lsabers as well as everything else is

well just my two cents but i looted a vk with normal stats nothing to special exept the dot of -1 uses but it was action poison decent strenght of an enranged rancor on dartmoth still lookin for one with mind poison so if you have some time to kill you might get lucky.
