TKAs are fine in PvP. Those who complain are the ones who don't know how to play their profession.

The problem with kinetic damage isn't PvP, it's PvE, where most creatures resist kinetic and some are immune to it.

see thats not quite true my special protection is 80% electricity and 39% stun my base which includes kinetic is sliced to 87% on my current armour. Then u have the fact that 90% of the people u fight will have a master melee profesion in there template so that add's melee migation 3 into the defence.
When i am getting hit with a VK the most damage that is done to me is about 8-15 damage per special and i do the same to the majority of people on my server and that is why armour needs a major overhall.

if you STILL consider stun batons a threat you haven't pvp'd since they fixed the scatter hit bug ehehehe



the high kinetic resist is only a problem in pvp when it's TK vs TK imo, as 80% upwards + TK toughness + damage reducing food will bring the damage you do down to 1 digit

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the toughness while reading this thread. That's why I consider being KD/dizzied by another TK in PvP as a "break" from the fight and a nice chance to regan some HAM while I wait. lol. I guess not everyone has that luxory though.

80-90% kinetic isn't all that common anymore in PvP either unless your server has had some really really nice vertex and crism spawns. Easy as heck to make kinetic layers but stun are a pain. And no PvP'er worth their salt will touch any armor that doesn't have any stun layers. 80-90% with stun layers is VERY hard to come by. If it doesn't have any stun....well they're a walking deadman if they run into a fencer or pistoleer.


I hitfor 130 through a 80% kinetic helmet using /headhit1 and 180damage knucklers. If they are KD'd it can get up to 160....per second. Even entertainer buffs can't save them. If you really want to sweeten the pot go find a Janta knife. The extra MIND poison will help a bit.

I am going TKA at the moment and am loving it..... I can only support a single master combat profession - business needs all the other points - but TKA is better than the swords I left behind.



  • Damage - nice, can hit for up to 3k damage

  • Speed - need I say more, no silly tapes required

  • Accruacy - best around, again can get away with tapes.... hit much more often than miss

  • Defence - Just about as good as it comes

  • Hit any pool - perfect for the single profession

  • Heal states / wounds - again perfect as I have no medic

There are some mobs I cant touch - 100% kin, guess I will just have to learn to keep clear.


(On the other nore of armor - who says stun is rare - I can make 40% stun 67% base all day - 90% slice possible - of course I keep them for personal use)

allmost every PvP armour vendor on ahazi is stocked with 39 stun 80+ base armour i dont know about other servers but decent armour isnt hard to come by on my server as long as ur willing to pay a bit of cash.

and i would like to hit these people u are with ur 180 VK's as im sure my 260 VK's which hit for 10-20 max in PvP on ahazi would hurt the people on ur server hell of alot more.

nor on tarq...and even non stun armor ...they do elec as special so all the other stats stay base...


and just cause you're doing less damage...doesnt mean you cant sit there and pound states into them...

Ok so there's plenty of 80% base stun armor out there. And we're stuck with only kinetic. Wait, that means that everyone else will have to deal with an 80% base as well (not to mention the non-humans hate life with the high encumbrance those effectiveness sliced armors pile on).


You're hitting 10-20 max comment might be a bit exaggerated. Then again the effects of intimidate and some really nice synthsteak can suck the damage out of anyone. Yeah that works on every other template as well.


At least we might all agree that armor is a bit too much for any profession.

alldue respect, I can totally pwn a TKM with pistols...


Given, I'm fighting Jedi, so they lack some other skills to compliment it, but when they put on the knucklers, I pull out the scatter/geo pistol. Never ever been beat by a TKM 1 on 1.


Why?


Because I know TKM like the back of my hand..so I know what they can and can't do to me damage wise.


Given, we are very balanced as Tera Kasi goes, and soon so will everyone else...we jsut got to wait

yeah agreed on people complaining too much, but its kind of hard not to sometimes because you're doing 10 dmg per hit with any of the stronger attacks and especially when someones being i guess ill say a *jerk* cause you cant break through their armor and they suddenly pull out a stun weapon and DB u quicker than you can bring 100 damage to them/////// reason for "jerk" is the filters i was thinking something else at that moment, good luck to you guys im gonna have to end this now peace
