I had the benefit of having master fencer and some bleeds to tag things with during my grind to NTK.

1.) Tag mob with both bleeds.

2.) Run like hell if unbuffed. / If buffed, stand and proceed to beat upon the mob with fists.

3.) Gather mucho unarmed xp from a mob you have no business beating on in the first place.

4.) Rinse and repeat.

It still took forever and I doubted the promised end result often. But, in the end it paid off well. Unarmed xp is easy to grind once you hit NTK, especially with a decent set of buffs.

I'm doing this now, and while I agree (mostly) with your recommendations, the numbers are a little off (based on my experience).

First, the spineflap missions aren't so great because Spineflap soldiers & Matriarch can attack at range. You'll find youself on your back if you attack too many at a time, and if there are two left when you regain conciousness they will db you with 2 spit shots. I have stopped doing those missions because of that.

Second, the Kaadu missions are very good for unarmed. I find that each gives me about 8,000 experience and not 12,000 since the lair generally spawns (if you're lucky) 3 males (880xp) and 6 females (600 xp) plus the 1500 or so from the lair. You can generally run a pair of those in about 20 minutes, so it would take you 16 of those missions, or 8 pairs (3 hours including travel time) to make novice TKA.

Gualamas are a little better than Kaadus and give close to 10,000 exp. depending on if the elders spawn.

I also strongly agree with the bleeders and the single shots. Another strategy is (if you're a smuggler/pistoleer) take your two bleed shots, switch to VK & take a shot, then feign death and wrack up the exp. When the bleeds wear off, repeat. You can take down Faambas like that, but you have to be very patient...

Sat in Kor Vella and killed mobs for a week, finally got unarmed 4, cried for a couple hours about the 125k and went back to work
