Yes it did. Original decription was an extended range attack that has a slight chance to Knock Down your opponent.

Then the rumor is right about the devs nerfing the melee professions...

Why should we be nerf! Swords was finally made great post cu, I could actually pvp and not get my but handed to me all the time...
Why would they Nerf melee, there are hardly any of us! Everyone went ranged.. If Melee gets any more screwed up My Doc/Swords template will be even more stupid now then ever.

Actually the current lunge that's available to us used to be split into different versions in the old system under the Master Brawler box. The were called "2h lunge2", "1h lunge2", "polearm lunge2". ALL of these had the ability of knocking down an opponent. It's one of the reasons why so many that went swords had to master brawler to be even viable in PvP.
If that ability isnowtaken away as a basic of combat, what box is it under now and how do I get it? ![]()

SWG is one of the only MMORGP games that when a new patch comes out, one of the first thing that I think of is...."What the hell did they screw up this time ?!".
It is things like this that make me seriously question the competence of SOE design team, and lack communication between players and developers.
Sadly, I can tell you that If I ever see "SWG game designer" on any resume its heading straight for the trash.

I did understand why the Dizzy-KD stuff was removed. But since KD isnt that hard anymore: Why remove it from lunge? It was the best way to counter a kiting ranged toon. I know this is all about group-play and a good group (with at least one toon too root or snare) it is not that big of an issue. But it is still a nerf. Even worse: A silent nerf. I hate that.
