Thread: Poll: with or without armor as a TKA
I wear 80% composite... only helm, chest, Leggings.
It kicks ass, yeah my vibros eat away at ham.
It seems that I have holes alot though.
I don't know what you guys are talking about. I've fought sooo many people without armor, and killed them with ease. All I have to do is get them on the ground, warcry, and do a couple of UH3. Even if they have buffs on, they're going down in about 5 seconds.
People with armor are a different story. Even if I do get that person on the ground, I'll probably kill myself faster than I'm killing them. I've dueled a TKM with 70% kinetic armor, it was messy.
I wear a suit of 80% composite and almost exclusively pvp. I have had numerous TKM wear themselves out trying to keep me down only for me to get up and one hit them. For me the difference in pvp with and without armor is night and day. So if you do pvp do yourself a favor and frequent your local chef and buff up with a doctor and start owning. As for the helmet against snipers, the vast majority of master riflemen like myselves use a jawa ion which all but ignores armor anyway. A shield generator with stun and energy resist is your best ally against the riflemen.
But lets face it, if you are buffed and have good rychecate and breath of heaven to keep your special cost low, why would you not want to wear a complete suit? Just buy a set and test it with a friend and you will be changed forever. As for pve I never wear armor. With the prices of armor the way the are (at least on my server) who would risk it?

Nope, not true at all. Buffed, all you reallyneed is a good comp helm for snipers. I never need armor PvE no matter what I fight, and in PvP armor is just a matter of preference. I have taken down guys in good comp just as fast as guys in no armor at all.
PvE you really dont need it. Get some good buffs and go kill stuff.
I never had problem killing anything save for mind dropping (being thats the only thing that loses points for specials) but Power Boost + Muon Gold keep that in good shape.
PvP on the other hand, armor cant hurt. A battle with a human being is a hell ofa lot quicker than anything you'd fight in the wild (thats your level anyhow)
when unbuffed I use no armor...
buffed I use armor and I tend totake ina lot more mind foods.
PVE you can get by with no armor easy.
PVP I recomend being buffed and some good armor.
By my side either PvE or PvP I wear an armor.
In PvE = adv composite ( 3 layers ) boots and gloves
In PvP = adv composite ( 3 layers ) boots, gloves, helm and an adv padded chest.
As for pve I never wear armor. With the prices of armor the way the are (at least on my server) who would risk it?
I dont see much probleme here, I almost never die in PvE and I dont fight nunas, I also mostly hunt alone witha pet and tank with it.
Example = during a taming hunt on Endor I get aggroed by a raptor ( medium armor, good resist and damage ), this beast landed me a 1000+ damage hit ( health )..I was glad to wear my composite armor at this time 
As a wookiee, I just can't wear it. (They really need to change this as our "wicked stats" do nothing compared to the crazy armor they have now. I would trade stats for armor use in 2 secs, Im sure 90% of wookiees would)
Buffs + Armor = hard to touch. If you are on tempest, come to coronet and fight an imp named milk gunnar. He's a tough tkm that uses composite\buffs\spices. He's really hard to beat and it usually takes a couple of us a few rounds to take him out....
