Solo a Krayt? Come on!
You might be able to solo a Canyon Krayt Juv as TKM, but surely not a Canyon Krayt or the likes.
TKMs are powerful. Just not THAT powerful. I'd like to punch an over sized lizzard in the gut and have 'em cough up a pearl, but its not gonna happen.
One of the Krayts (Ancient?) has an insane dizzy attack. I spent a good 45 seconds every hit, laying on the ground lol.

Krayts are designed so you cannot solo them at all, that is their purpose to be one of the raid mobs which require a team to take them down. A TKA Master is able to go in and tank against one for certain but you'll need a doc or a combat medic to keep you going for the duration plus some heavy firepower to punch through the 200k of HAM and Medium armor. I'd say a TKAM can now solo something around CL70 -100 for a challenge so you might want to find a regular Kimogila and give that a try since they're CL95 now.

you can do it with 2 people.. One TKM (or any melee tank) and one with Flame 4. A friend and I did a 370k ham giant krayt a couple weeks ago with a little ingenuity. 1st, make your you have your bikes out. park them outside of agro range of the beast (roughly 70-80m) Get the tk to walk up in agro range with the flamer not far behind (preferably near a high level mob nest). When it starts to get in range, pound the living crap out of the mob lair to spawn everything it can and flame single 2 the krayt, hope to god the AOE has agroed the mobs you just spawned, flame single 1 flame cone 1 and run like you've never run before to your bike. Kite the thing till the dot runs out, rinse, repeat. Now that dots are changed, you'd have to rely one dot, or take more people

I did that new mission that spawns a kryat when you open the chest, and I held my own with it for about 5 minutes before giving up. I am a medic so I just kept pounding and healing myself, but with the insane bleed nerf it's impossible to bleed it and try and let it die. I was TKA novice + 3/4/4/3 swordsman at the time with a some medic on the side, nothing else really. Was buffed and wearing knetic ubese. If I would have had someone stanidng there healing me, even a novice medic, I could have taken it if i had a good 15-30 mins.

Get a ATST, put skillpoints into commando, and be prepared to sit around alot.
Too bad Commando's can't solo Krayts....heck we can't even be a viable member of a krayt hunting group after these resist changes

i don't understand how any of you solo big things like this, first my ham bars are eaten so fast even with buffs to all categories and it seems like my defense sucks big time, ima master TKA and I'm a wookiee so maybe i'm thinking it's the no armor. Anyone have any suggestions? Should I try to master a different brawler profession for more melee defense?

deathsavatar, I meant since he already had tka, just grab commando and put some points into flame so he can alternate flame and unarmed. But apparantly flame isnt as good anymore so no clue. I remember people used to use 3 atst to smack down krayts...

Yea now our flamethrower does around 0 damage to Krayts....because now resists count in our DoT's, which it should. But they shouldn't of "fixed" that aspect of my profession without actually fixing our other three trees that are broken....but I'm not bitter, I promise

That's the idea of the bleeding/burning nerf, to stop people from being able to solo these. I think that a Rancor is now impossible for a commando to damage using a flame thrower because they're 100% heat resistance and can't be burnt either.

One major flaw in the idea of picking up commando is simply that you can`t if you`re already a master doc and a master TK.
After mastering both professions, you have all of 18 points left over, which is just enough to pick up Scout and Exploration I.

Since the new patch I haven't tried a krayt, and I imagine it would not go well. Before this latest patch I solod krayts, giants, and ancients all day long, as a TKM/Master Brawler/Swordsman. Now I fear those days are gone.
