For those who are using the scripting method to keep track of your power boost time..

I suggest /echo instead of /telling yourself

It works a little better.

Someone please test the effects of Muon Gold spice and Entertainer mind buffs when trying to stack them with PowerBoost.

something wrong? overpowered? sigh, i dont think so. it will only make us TKAs the tanks we should be. it wont help us catch up to anyone in PVP or anything.

With the current state of MIND being the most important stat in a fight, I don't really feel this is a useful skill.

If the dependance of MIND is removed, then maybe that will change, but as it stands, this would provide only 600 extra points.

We are still going to see TKA's running around with maxed out mind =p

In PvP mind is the most important. In PvE mobs rarely ever hit you in the head. Either way a 500 point boost in health is welcome. How can you say this is not worth it? Also, all TKAs should already have maxed mind, because if they're smart they're also novice medics.

Ok. Had a chance to check it out on test.

LOVE IT!

When you activate, your mind drops down to half. Your Health and Action both go up by half. (400 in my case) It was about 7 pts per tick for all 3 stats.

After about 1 minute, something I didn't expect happened. Your mindpool max also shoots up by 400! Not sure if that was intended. The mind pool drops down to half (400) and needs to heal up again so there is more than a minute down time.

Lasted for about 11 min first time I tried it so I was walking around with a HAM of 1400/1400/1200.

One bug I did see. I died once while I had it on. When I cloned back, the original timer was still running. Ill bug that.

If it wasn't intended it should be. That is precicely what we need. Health and action buffs are great, but a global buff will allow us to tank much more effectively. A healer can boost your H & A, but if your group is depending on you and your mind gets hit, you're in trouble.

Ill try to get my hands on some Muon gold tonight. A little tough so far since Test seems like a ghost town.

There is a longer downtime if you wait for your mind to regen. It took me 3 min from activation to be at full strength.

But It's perfect if you ask me. Hope you guys agree.

Hmm. What if I have my favourite Master Doctor buff my Health and Action to 3k apiece? Does Power Boost level it up by half again of that?

Oops, my bad, misread the original post. Half of mind pool.

Wulf,

WOW! That's sounds great! Sounds JUST like the skill as it should be...perhaps as it was intended to be. Thanks so much for passing that along. I don't know if I'll use it that much since I'm master doc...especially if it doesn't stack with doc buffs, but it sounds spectacular...not super-powerful-overbalancing-strong...just spectacularly fair.

TKA buffs should stack on top of doctor buffs, food and spice. It'd be interesting to see how high you could get your Health and action on doctor buffs, pixie, food and power boost.

A top-notch doctor Health buff will be about 2000 points and I believe pixie buffs for 1000. I'd have to look into food, but you should certainly be able to get 500 health out of food, especially if you eat more than one serving at once. Let's say you could do the same with drink (yes, food stacks with drink). That's 4000 points of health buffs, add 500 on for Power boost and you're at 4500 points. You could get your health to say, 5500 with this setup. Pretty wild.

Another thing theexample above addresses is that there are lots of buffs out there that are much more effective than power boost. There will certainly be people who'll whine about TKAs being able to buff themselves, but when you look at it in terms of total available buffing, power boost is just the icing on the cake. It's nice, but it's a long way from unbalanced.

Be careful with Muon gold though. The downer is a killer.

And thanks for the /alarmAddincommand. I'll try that out tonight.
