Dodge

counter attack

block


TKAs use Defense acuity

Pistoleers and fencers use dodge

Swordsman and carbineers use counter attack

pikeman and rifleman use block


you can stack the block, dodge, and counter attack form the proffessions that give it. but only those proffesions use it.


So if you are using your bare hands or a knuckler, you can have 10000block 10000 dodge and 10000 counter attack, but it won't matter becouse all that matters for teras kasi is defense acuity.

According to its description, defense acuity increases the probability of dodging, blocking, or counter-attacking when fighting unarmed. In other words, defense acuity relies on your dodge, block or counter attack skill mod (whichever is highest, I think)--even if you acquired this skill mod from other professions. For example, if you aretk +fencer or pistoleer, defense acuity is supposed tp make your fencer/pistoleer dodge skill mod more effective, even when you're not using a pistol or 1-handed weapon.


Now, from personal experience, I definitely dodge even when I'm using VK's. Whether defense acuity actually improves my chances of doging, that I don't know, because I can only dodge when my opponent doesn't miss, and that doesn't happen very often.


So the short answer is: yes, pistoleer dodge works with TK.

Well, 2 additional observations to add to the confusion:


1) I've seen not only dodge but also counter-attack in my combat logs, which is surprising because I don't have any CA skill mod. Haven't seen block yet, but I only looked briefly.


2) It seems that I only dodge or CA when centered.
