Axkva Min? No...She is 100% resistant to kinetic and electricity. Unless a pikeman already has the weak energy lance by paying tons of cash or killing her numerous times using other means/professions to loot the two items needed for the energy lance, a pikeman cannot kill her. TKA will simply be in the same position.

My strategy: Do not blindly chase after kiters. Run in the canita or a hospital. There is absolutely nothing wrong with running away. If someone pulled a gun on you and started shooting at you, would you run towards them?

if you have a few left over skill points, maybe pick up the scouting branch that adds to terrain negotiation. either that alone or combined with a master chefs food that adds to terrian negotiation, and you should be ok. i agreewith loshuss, a wise person knows when to run.

hmmm kiting is a melee's weakness just as close range (melee range) are ranged users weakness... melee HAS to have a weakness Ranged professions should be FAR FAR FAR better at range and be poorer at close in where melee rules....


Or are ppl after a class that can do everthing.... seems like they do

Here lemme give you guys some scenarios:


Ranged profession and melee profession at close range: MELEE WINS





Ranged profession and melee profession at long range: RANGED WINS



How hard is that to understand? Not one type of profession has to win every time! That wouldnt make sense!

It would be useful if traps actually worked on PCs. It could also give a whole new boost for scouts as they have precious little to offer combat at the moment.

  • ALLOW US TO THROW OUR VK TARGETING THE PVP'ERS WEAPON, A SUCCESSFUL STRIKE STORES THERANGE WEAPONFOR 15 SECONDS, AND ANY THROW AUTOSTORES OUR VK FOR 10 SECONDS. LIMIT THE ATTACK TO: WHATEVER RANGE, OR TIMER.

  • USING A VARIANT OF RUNE'S IDEA, ALLOW A SINGLE THROWN STRIKE TO HIT A PVP'ERS LEG THAT WOULD DROP THEM TO ONE KNEE, OR FLAT ON THEIR RUMP. LIMIT THE ATTACK TO: WHATEVER RANGE, OR TIMER.

Why is anyone complaining about kiting? It is our only real weakness aside from our damage types which we share with pikemen as well. the combat range is 64m we own within 20. That is roughly 1/3 of the range that we are able to fight effectively and this is how it should be. I love TK but goddam if you run toward me unarmed or with any melee weapon and I have a gun I am going to retreat and shoot at you and manuever in any manner I can to keep you at MY ideal range. Same works in reverse. Try avoiding open spaces. Confined spaces benefit melee. Kiting does not need to be fixed. It works fine people just need to learn how to combat it.
