Back to the topic of this thread....
The new weapon goes in when they release the Death Watch Bunker. I have been told by reliable sources that it will be released between patch 9 and 10... meaning you have a long time to wait, as the patch currently on Test Center is 8.
The razor Knucklers are heat damage and about 250 damage, as was stated earlier. These will be extremely rare items because of two things... the first is that the one of the components needed to make them is the NightSister Vibro Motor... an item that only drops off the one and only Axkva Min, who only spawns once per day and drops the needed motors about once a WEEK. The second reason is the difficulty of the Death Watch Bunker (now comparable to the Corvette) itself and the rarity of the schematic.

Looted 7 vibro units off Axkva Min earlier this week on Test Center.
Using weaker units than what StGabe, the Swordsman Correspondent (who thinks "Caylin is a twerp", btw) used, the VKs basically came out to 2.9 98-217 damage 51% Wound Chance. 26% damage slice (the highest of the batch-- yuck) boosted it to 273 max damage.
Over 3k+ damage hits to a heat-vulnerable MOB with Spitting Rawl. In PvP, against a composite-clad trandoshan, I was consistently scoring 400-480 damage hits in my combat spam.
Oh, and did I mention.... they haven't added the certs for this weapon into our tree yet? This is apparently UNCERT'D damage, with just my Unarmed Damage bonus.
If/when they do activate the cert, I'll post back here with my findings... but so far, Ell' Kabong is mighty pleased with the results of this 'hot' new weapon. (Didja catch Ell's pun?! He made a FUNNY!)

They will never make disabled vehicles repairable. Because the Artisans will whine and cry that they cant make any money. You forget that the developers have this hard-on for this fantasy economy where the rich get richer and the poor make the rich richer.
Dev formula = 2pEconomy > 1000pFun.. Auctions and rare loot has turned SWG into SWG(Ebay) for the crafters. And you think its bad now? wait till they introduce the space expansion. My money is on the idea that they will instill some silly requirements and then only the rich will have them. And so goes the cycle of SWG's version of Monopoly (SIMMS)

Well if it's destroyed, by definition, it can't be repaired. The idea is to repair it before it's destroyed.

If you don't like this than you are going to be one of the proponents of inflation, where everyon gets richer except for the new guy who will never be able to afford anything. There have to be money sinks in the game or there is no way to keep inflation down. By killing vehicals and making it so you have to pay you are making it so more people have to pay for maintenance on vehicals (a money sink). In this way it keeps the total number of credits down keeping prices down on everything. Also when making vehicals there is a money sink called paying for maintenance on harvesters for the resources and the maintenance on the power generators used to get the power for the harvesters. If they are using factories they are paying maintenance on them as well. In other words it is a way to keep the rich from being so rich by instituting this fix.
Why do you need a vehical anyway? Don't you remember the days before mounts and vehicals? You don't have to have either one to enjoy the game. Heck mounts don't cost anything to upkeep. Just buy one of those, spats are pretty fast.
Most crafters do not make alot of money by selling vehicals. (By the way RL markup in stores is between 100% and 150% so by saying that someone making 20% off of something is making a killing is just flat ridiculous)
Anyway the costs to maintain a vehical are small compared to how much money you can make while riding that same vehical around doing missions. Even at unarmed IV you can kill a couple lairs and make enough money to repair your ride. If all you do is ride around doing nothing you will be too poor to ride around on a fancy speeder. So too keep the prices down (even on speeders) you will have to willingly participate in this money sink.
Oh and about destoyed vehicals... Why are your vehicals being destroyed? Are you leaving them out and they are getting killed in PvP or PvE? there is an easy fix just put it away when you fight. Or are the dieing due to decay? Just repair the sucker. It isn't that big of a deal realy. Just do it.

The live dates should be 2-3 weeks after the droids rebuilt publish (it depends on if they do the deathwatch bunker mini-publish before or after the ID mini-publish)
