Thread: Bringin' down those kimos and krayts

A tkm, using ONLY tk moves is not going to bring down a 350k ham krayt. With bleeds or DOTs though its not hard at all.

The default attack for tkm does about 20 points of dmg to a krayt with a 200dmg vk. Lets say 2/3 of those attacks hit the health pool of a 350k ham krayt. At 1 hit per second that is about 350 minutes to totally deplete the health pool of a krayt. So you're looking at about 6 hours for a tkm to solo a krayt using the default attack and no bleeds. You could spam specials on it but then you start running out of ham, but if you have enough of the right combination of foods I suppose it would be possible to spam specials for an hour or 2 straight and not run out of HAM.

If you combine TKM with a profession that has DOTs then this time becomes considerably less. You have to think about these things, when people say they solo krayts as a tkm, that doesn't mean they are only using tkm moves, it means they are a tkm and are soloing krayts, it says nothing of their other professions. I'm a novice medic and I solo krayts, but that doesn't mean I am poking it to death with stimpacks for 12 hours straight.

Im sorry but i just dont see how anyone can solo a Kimo... A friend of mine and I were on Lok hunting for avain meat and we ran across a Kimo anda giant Kimo... well we both looked at each other, shruged, and said... WHAT THE HELL, lets see what were made of... Now the whole idea in this matter was not to have them both agro, we waited till they were a fair distance away from each other and then attacked the giant. Well to our misfortune the other Kimo agroed anyway. Well we have two kimos on us now.... I think i got maybe 2 or 3 hits in and the next think i know im KD/dizzyed, flopping around like a fish trying to get back up... NOW while i was down they didn't do to much damage to me so when i FINALY got back up i decided to go for round 2... Well sure as hell about another 2-3 hits im laying flat on my back floppin around... By this time my partner had taken some serious damage so he was retreating so when i was able to get back up i figured i better do the same...

Well the whole point of this story i think is just to point out that i really dont think that ANY TKM is going to solo a Kimo, due to the fact that they KD/dizzy as one of there special attacks... I spent more time on my back then i did actually fighting...and for thouse maybe 4-6 hits i got off, plus the bleeds from my partner, we barly put a dent in either one of there ham bars.

TKM soloing a Kimo... I dont think so... Can it be done... possibly, IF you can stay on your feet that is, which is easier said then done.

Gonna have to disagree with you on this one....i'm a wookiee TKM hence no armor, and i can solo a dune kimogila. Granted, i had some decent buffs, and it takes some strategic hot keying of spice and food, but it undoubtably can and has been done. Krayts on the other hand are a whole different thing.....

I believe its settled.

TKM's relying solely on their skills cannot solo Krayts.

Dabblers, however, can.

TKM's CAN, AND DO, take down kimo's pretty easily, Use intimidate, center of being, armor, and good buffs, you can pretty much stand there and /peace them for a while with not alot to worry about. yes, they do 1.2k a hit, but with the mods listed above, you only take around 52-80 damage a hit, and with center of being, they miss alot. it is VERY possable, you just need to use your skills to their full potential. Center of being DOES come in handy. Didnt realize that till i started reading the combat log, but it works.

I soloed a Canyon Kryat with feign death and action shot 1. It just took me almost an hour. No TKA involved.

Hello there! I just found your message. Here is what i do.

1. Equip a vibroknuckler with very high wound stats, that will increase your chance to bleed the animal.

2. Stand 80m away BEFORE combat and use feign death. When u enter combat , you use fd imediatly.

3. Hit the animal once, it usually bleeds.

4. You will get hit HARD, I personally have armor with 76% kinetic resist.

5. Feign death, wait till you heal up, stand, rinse, repeat.

If you want an added bonus to your disease defence, take a ch buddy with you. Duel your buddy, him/her using just a simple nuna. LET IT DISEASE YOU. You CANNOT GET diseased twice, no matter what, so you now have been diseased for 300 health over 1.5 hours. WAY better than kimo disease

Its not what you have, its what u do with what u have............

I was out with my friend (A low level rifleman) and my 60% kinetic gurreck. We came across a spawn of a kimo and a giant kimo. I was fully buffed up (doctor, musican, dancer), I had on base 61% composite, muon gold, breath of heaven, ryshcate. I ran past the two kimos and got them to attack each other, so good so far. Set myg urreck on the giant one, a atacked the normal one myself. My friend went prone and started plugging away at the giant.

A few seconds later the one I'mon turns and starts attacking me, and the giant one runs off after my pet. I think "Ookay... I can do this.." And lots of warcry/intimidate/dizzy/kd/stun/centre of beingetc etc later, I've killed it. It took a lot of time and preparation (the buffs and food) but it wasn't too hard, as it wasn't hitting me much and didn't get through my armour. I can do the same with giant dune kimos, just takes longer and I have to stop to heal the various status effects. I'm a novice pistoleer aswell so I get some bleeds on it.

The giant one though... I was dizzy/KD for most of it, the damage came from a random canyon corsair camp, then it ran off into the water and when we went after it to finish it off, it vanished.

Did my first Kimo, a standard one, today. I have no other combat skills except TKM. I used food buffs, a partial suit of high kinetic ubese and composite , and PB. Took longer than it should have because I spent part of the fight with my VKs unequipped, wondering why I wasn't doing any damage.

No tka alive can solo a krayt dragon without cheating, or atleast soloing as a tka and not using bleeds. Currently only explotiers solo krayts because they get it stuck but I will not explain how, as to prevent everyone from doing it. I can buff myself to 5k ham, have great defense and can not tank them more than 5-6 mins and no way I can do 350k dmg in that time. The ONLY way one can solo a krayt is if you wait and let enough baby krayts spawn and fight the large one and he gets really low on hps, and even then you didn't reallly solo it , did you?

Last post is about purely tka, being a former master commando and other classes have an easy time doing it.
