..And the only stun weapons are stun batons, geo pistols, and jawa rifles, and only the jawa rifle has any AP.

DoT VK do exist.

New damage type is somewhere in the plan for next year I hope, as it is done and just need to be tweaked a little.

All I have to say is...TKM's need love too.

We are LONG due a new type of weapon!!

Who remembers the VK's that WERE on test shard only to be pulled before they hit live?


I agree with the DOT part!

Seems like almost every other weapon has DOT's,why not VK's?

you're absolutley right. I'm not a Teras Kasi Artist.

I've been Teras Kasi MASTER for over 6 months.

TK doesn't need another damage type. If you want other damage types pick up another profession. The only high end pve mobs we can't reasonably solo are NS elders and krayt dragons.

Actually Ipseck we can solo a canyon krayt, it just takes a while

thats why I qualified the statement with 'reasonably'

ya no kidding about that tank thing.. I tanked 2 elders the other day. When you leave your health in the control of the group doctor(s), it gets alot more fun. 2 doc/swordsmen, a jedi and a rifle/cm (and me). That was a fun group

Have u ever pvped before??? if u have u would find that a TKM is a force to be reconed with if played well.. stun would make them way overpowered and u would be like the uber riflemen but with meditate,kd and the best toughness and tanking ability in game pvp wise. PVE sure but have u ever seen that only a few (like 3 i think) mobs have 100 kinetic resists? what about all those other proffs (take commando for example their flame damage is 100% resist by alot of creatures and is their only usefull dmg type)

example unarmed3 does electricity unarmed 2 does acid unarmed 1 kenetic mind hit does flame....etc


could be fun and make the TKM have to cahnge their attacks around ok not only would having different specials do different damage types be overpowering but why should TKA get to be even more unique than before... meditate is your unique ability why make another GOD MODE profession jedi have aleady ruined pvp with the horrible FRS and having another god mode proff would ruin it IMHO why should TKA have like all damage types when they do fine with only 1..... why dont u just become jedi...

I am a TKM and I agree, we need a new damage type (preferably electric because it makes sense) But for those who don't realize what a gift kinetic damage is, allow me to point out that in high end PvP many people have 80+ base resists on their armor due to slices. If you haven't noticed, the kinetic doesn't go up because it is under special protection, so we technically have the 2nd-3rd best damage type for PvP (if you need to be told the others you need to be slapped ) PvP is not what we Teras Kasis are disappointed in. We are apparently the only class that can not possibly hurt every mob in game. I know there are those that argue, "Well, you guys can kill everything but nightsister elders and the other high end PvP mobs; why are you complaining!" That pathetic excuse is a sign that the person who typed those words missed the point entirely. Just look at the other professions. Not all of them can handle a nightsister elder or other tough enemies, but they can do something. We, on the other hand, get agroed by one of them and simply must take the beating for as long as possible or stop what we are doing to run away. Any other class could simply attack using their appropriate damage type. It is not nearly fair tobe prejudice againstone class in particular by not permitting them to even DAMAGE an enemy. Their are really two ways to fix this. The first one being mentioned is the introduction of a new damage type for the Teras Kasis. This would upset many players (though I don't know why...) seeing we got something helpful. They would instantly cry "NERF!" even as we hit them for the same old 50-100 damage on their composite armor even with a new damage type. The other way is to make no mob able to have 100% resistances. Players can't have that much, so why should NPCs be able to? I would be happy if they only lowered the 100% by a measly 5%, at least we had a chance to help in the weakening of the enemy instead of pointlessly degrading our weapon to no avail. Just my 2 pennies in a can on the counter of the store where I bout my brand spanking new electric VKs.

Yeah, tanking is great. Personally for me, I think tanking is better than straight up WTFpwning everything. The knowledge that you can just stand there and take insane amts of damage and keep the MOB focused on you is a real high. More TKAs should try tanking, it's bloody fun.

prejudice against us? No other class in the game has a skill that modifies damage. We get over 200 additional base damage just from mastering our profession. Everyone else needs uber acklay and krayt weapons to get that kind of modification. If you take away our unarmed damage modifier, reduce our accuracy to below 200, then yes.. I would agree that we might possibly need another damage type. But as it is, we don't miss and we can deal buttloads of damage.

tk needs no changes. we can kill things faster than most proffesions, we can kill jedi faster than any other profession and we dont need doctors. we need nothing. oh and we can give ourselves little baby buffs.
