I never wear armor. Did at one time but the HAM costs killed me so I never did again.

I can waste a gang of tuskens like nothing. I can waste 3 whole spawns of tuskens if I have my greater womp out.

Its not in the class, its in the player. Using Stun, blind, warcry, KD, lunge, and CoB are ALL factors in how well you play and how long you survive. Sure you may get lucky and kill someone withg KD2, hit3 spam (sorry chado /giggle) but thats not always going to work. Armored targets are much tougher to take down than bocatt's and NPC's and require different strategies.

A hologrinding TKA usually never learns the tricks or anything about the profession other than "The quickest way from UA4 or TKN". Probably why saying "my holo told me" is like a death sentence since most hologrinders are ONLY interesting is becomeing "Teh uber Jedi". It may not be true with all hologrinders but it is with the majority of them.

I use a Personal Shield Generator in a pinch - especially against critters the AR1 makes a big difference already, any resists would be just a bonus. Usually I don't bother though.

according to my skillmod listing, those are the additions perhaps it's a bug and perhaps it isn't, but i've believed that the +25 cap was on the individual piece of clothing, not on the complete outfit.

my jacket is +17 stun/ +4 melee, +18 inj/wound. my pants are the same. my shirt is just +stun/melee, and my bandolier is +int/war. none of the individual articles of clothing go over +25, but altogether it does. anyway, this is the way it is now, i assure you. whether or not this is how it's intended is another story altogether...

It is a bug, +25 is the cap on any skill mod increase. What gets me are the negative mods. Why would anyone wear a -5 crafting mod?

I don't think it's suitable for a martial arts fighter to wear tons of armor, being a RL one myself... It goes against the whole thing, and surely, many will find it more efficient or whatever, but a character in SWG should be unique and personal... I don't think you should necessarily turn your character into the cookiecutter XL, rather make him (or her) great in your oppinion... I started out wearing full ubese, it worked great! But after getting Balance1 on Dantooine and getting back to Tatooine, I thought to myself, this is stupid... So i put away all my armor except my bandolier and gloves and dressed up like more of a Buddhist kung fu monk or whatever... Perhaps "we people DONT USE ARMOR!!!!" because we don't want to...

people make the mistake of thinking martial arts=shaolin monks. actually anything from a SWAT team to medieval knights to roman centurions were martial artists and fought in armor. and there's no way you could convince me that even shaolins didn't were some kind of protection when they were going out to do some serious fighting.

i do serious fighting all the time, and i am a wookie.

ive always thought armor was too powerfull, and TK is one of the last if not the last profession combat wise a wookie can play and still do well.

I like the fact that wearing armor means we get jacked in ham, means i can play something.

i still get jacked by lots of people all the time, and am always at a huge disadvantage for never having armor, but thats the life of the TK on average. fencers pistoleers easily can and do wear armor.

tks usualy dont because it makes us into tab+attack lamers for the most part.

ya you talk about doctor buffs and food, and its nice you are doing well while wearing armor, im happy for you, but not everyone wears armor, and some people can't wear armor at all. (me)
