A moth has passed since the CU and i first posted this!

I still "enjoy" beeing a TKA, but it is getting rather boring

Lack of spceials and the lack of TKA beeing a profession to be feared and counted on in PvE and especially in PvP is frustrating. The stacking is essential to a TKA in PvP, it is boring! In PvE swordsman and Pikes are a way more fun than TKAM atm. Some new goodlooking knucklers aint much!

Of all the FighterProfessions we must be the more boring of them all, only pressing like 2-3 buttons in a fight, if that! Just standing there and be dull :/

Beem TKA over a year now, and ive been very patiance with it and enjoyed it imensley! TKA board aint like they were either! Credits to the rest of you who enjoyes TKM as a sole melee professions after the CU!

Have to add tho, I was looking forward to the CU and i still like the CU! But i really dont like what they have done to TKA!

This is speaking as a individual who only have TKA as the only Melee professions, and i belive it is sad! They dumbed it down! perhaps it is time for me to move on? meh im to stubborn lol, ill give it a lill more time! I still like to go fighting without armor! Tho the new armors are sweet!

I just think if someone wants to be JUST a Tkm... that they can! The way it is now... Just TKM is a waist.. you can't damage and I have seen ranged guys tank better. Overall, our "3" points of damage is a "1" since weapons are completely worthless. Our action cost is way to much for what damage we do and our lack of moves is insulting. We hit things with out hands... it isn't like we are taking a huge weapon and hitting ppl with it. Our action cost should be less since well we aren't using straining weapons! IF we use weapons at all... Our animations are well below par. We have a punch and a kick... that is the jist of our animations. Not only being just a TKM is boring but really is embarrasing. I have been a TKM for a long time.. I dotn' want to be uber but I do want to see fixes for us... Our Force of Will is broken... Our Animations suck.... Our Weapons are useless... Our Tanking abilities are in question with other professions.


We need something done.... talk is cheap.. action is priceless!

What I am doing now with the lack action points is using the massassi knuckler to lay stats on, they seem to stick better with that, maybe because it has plus 1 accuaracy, then for power attacks take them off

Soloing PvE is extremely long winded and frankly boring as purely TKM. No anims. No Damage. Combat takes forever. I've had to ditch all my other marksman and artisan skills to open up enough boxes to survive in combat to take on Pikes. I've had to drastically change my template to eventually grind towards Jedi. The only skills I use from TKM are improved CoB, Meditate and powerboost.Novice pikes give me enough damage to see off most same level mobs comfortably and TKM the defense to stay alive for longer.

TKM was my only elite master profession before CURB, didn't want to be anything else, I cant really call myself a TKM anymore.

##This part is very important, TKM ALONE is really not much compared to other professions, "in a stand alone sole fighter profession role" we are utter boring and painfully lame compared to pre CU! People need to thrash other professions, and very few will have a hybrid TKM/crafter. Level sys altso helps on this tho, but it really hurts to be a TKM these days :/

I had to leave SWG just before CU, and I just got back two days ago. I had been a TKM for over a year before CU, and got many friends to pick it up and they loved it. I loved TKM, I said I would never drop it. Well, the day after I got back to SWG, I dropped TKM. As soon as I tried it out i was bored with it, I had 4 or 5 attacks I think. I respecced to rifleman/bounty hunter and now that I have been back I'm willing to give TKM another try, maybe pick up swordsman or pikeman with it. I just don't like post CU SWG, a game I played since launch and loved is now boring after just two days of being back. I came back to find 2 other people in my guild still playing and 1 of my other friends still playing. Well, just checking in on what the Teras Kasi community was up to.


P.S. I dreaded CU as soon as I found out about it.

TKM seemed to be the favorite not only of players pre-cu, but of the Dev's as well. I'll admit that I never went beyond TKA 4000 pre-CU because everyone was running around with a ninja and I just have to be different, but seeing the state of TKA now I really wish I had tried it pre-CU, cuz it used to look so exciting


Post-CU I would give TKM a4 for defense, and other professions when using armor with just a single TKA box to get advanced CoB a 3.9. We're not much better (if any) besides not having to worry about keeping up armor endurance. Our damage is probably the lowest of the combat professions (so give it a 1), and we have no crowd control... not a point.


To me though, it's still worth being able to wear any outfit we want while we fight, and since we havecombat levels ruling the land we can still pick up that high damage kashyyyk loot fencer sword and do decent damage because of general melee speed, it's not too bad. Personally, I would trade what little damage we have for an increase in tanking ability though. Not a slight increase, but something major that makes the profession truly stand out as a tank.Because frankly, as it stands now a TKM needs another melee prof anyway to solo (unless you want to spend 3-4 minutes killing each creature your level) so we might as well be able to go out and join a group hunting lvl 100 creatures or npc's without .. er geeze, i'm ranting on into info i just put in another post gah... here it is
