Thread: So know what? Publish 6 came out, and i heard talk about chefs making def vs kd food???
"Skill buffs and resist buffs do not stack, you get the message "you are already under the effect of that food" and do not consume the dose. Foods that are triggered for a certain number of effects (damage mitigation, ormachek's xp bonus) give the same message until you've "used up" the effect. I'm assuming foods with triggered effects like Starshine's incap time reduction do not stack, but I never thought to check. Maybe you can have two starshines "queued up" to take care of two incaps."

Thus, its like only +36 KD defence and 9.1 Defence vs Dizzy per time.
It's not too bad I guess.
Knockdown is not the same as posture down attack. Can't knock them down? lunge/dizzy. Opps their on their back again. Easy.

i love that quote...

everyone needs to relax. yes there will be a food with resist to knockdown, but there are other foods taht people want like the first 5 hits from someone barely hiting you, and mind buffing food, also blue milk that heals mind. So for people that wanna use this game as street fighter than you should play that. The truth is if you are in the GCW defending a base or raiding not everyone is gona be focusing on the kd food, they will take fishak and other enhancers.

I LOVE how the unarmedknockdown2 (which does KNOCKDOWN & DIZZY) is "an overhand BASH to the HEAD!"
Can you say...BONK!
Unarmed lunge is your friend.
If you're quick enough you can lunge, get into rangethen dizzy, then maybe lunge again if youhave to.When they try and stand up from kneeling oops down they go.
Ok so you have to press F1, F2 then F1 again instead of pressing just F3 or whatever. ![]()
KD/Dizzy counters kiting.
Kiting counters KD/Dizzy.

Melee professions can eat food as well. . . BRILLIANT

Yes folks... and this means "Low Blow" isn't gonna be such a problem from the ranged folk....
I hate to see anyone forced to use tactics over spamming.....I personally will be happy to have a KD defense while I PvE...

Another way to screw over melee
*sigh*
It is obvious these devs prefer ranged
*sigh*
I'm a TKA/Carbineer and I dont mind. most people won't use it, they will use a variety of other foods like others have mentioned. Some will, then I'll just have to be creative and use one of my many other skills, rather than a single "I Win" button.
What is the big deal? So what if the devs introduce these products to the game. It adds content and it gives the chef something constructive to add to the galaxy. This game is about team work. It is about a galaxy at war. The devs have said repeatedly that they are going to balance combat, fix broken classes, and add content. That seems to be what is happening.
I think the problem is too many players are either looking to "never" lose or never get "owned" by another player. That just isn't going to happen. Read Jest3r's guide on PvP:

Too many players are married to their skill set and when they realize that they can get killed if they play the game poorly they freak. You can get killed at anytime in SWG especially if you pvp. Get over it. The game is suppose to be massive in scope. I hope that the Holo craze will passand more players RP and the GCW gets rolling for real.
