Thread: My tka problem action
The dmg slicedwill have less dps that the speed sliced but the dmg sliced would use less ham(less special moves in the same time).
I guess i will try some dmg sliced vk's.
Good news. ![]()
Looks like my problem its not realy action, its action + regen.
I do spend 100 or a bit more of action per move. But my regen is too low. With a higher regen from those 100 action points would be able toregen at least 30 or 40 points till the next move.
Decreasing the cost from 100 to 50 - 60
I took some from quickness and from other stats that i didnt needed to increase stamina
Cananyonegive me info on the rate of the stats versus the regen rate and points decreased in specials? (like 10 in quickness decrease 1 point in specials or something like that ). So i can make the calculations before moving the sliders and having to wait a day or two to see if it works. ![]()
Garrmorl
Accarragm
And one type of brandy(I forget the name of it)
These three items buff, respectively, all your health, action, and mind related stats by anywhere between +150 to over +200 for around 35 minutes depending on how well made the food is and if any additives are used.
The best ones I've seen have a filling of 15. Meaning you could either drink two of each type before getting full, or up to 6 of one type. Then, by the time these wear off, you can drink new ones again
Some really great brandy that was made on test, for example, was +226 to mind, focus, and willpower for 35 minutes with a filling of 15.
So, if you buy a couple of crates of these(each item in the crate with multiple charges) you can give yourself a little mini-doctor buff at any time, which especially helps on test center where a doctor might not always be easy to find. These stats may change before the final release to live, but this stuff should help a lot of tkas and combat professions in general.
I would suggest not wearing any armor, and make sure that your heal hotkey has a custom macro to peace and wait .5 seconds before healing. That way you don't have to clear your combat window to heal and you can get right back to spamming UA3 after you pop that stim-C. Thats how I deal with the HAM cost, but it doesn't really phase me since I'm also a Rifleman and my SS2 does 210 HAM cost on my mind every 1.4 seconds. 100 action cost on a buffable and healable field is very easy to deal with after that. Upgrading your quickness would help out a lot, but since you have med skills it would probably be better to pump up your focus and willpower and deal with the action cost with stims. In PVP mind can become your biggest weakness in a hurry, especially when the muon runs out.
If you can't get better VK with lower HAM, or melee weapon power ups for action and health decreases, then try this...
Go to Ft. Tusken (hopefully a lot of people will be there, too), join a group, and work together to pound the tuskens.
Use any knockdown, dizzy, stun, blind moves you have - BUT - do it BARE HANDED. You'll have less HAM damage to yourself, and you CAN hit them, and CAN do damage. Also, when they're down, you get DOUBLE damage.
I'm having fun helping others at the fort, I do knockdown/dizzy, and let the novices POUND on em.
Just stay together in groups, and keep a medic close by. I generally don't get doc buffs, just use powerboost, and am a Wookiee - so NO armor, and at Master, I am very rarely using my VKs.
Even without em, I can take out a Warlord BAREHANDED - even if the knockdown doesn't stick.

I would have to agree that unless you are fighting armoured foes, as a TK master, do not use VibroKnucklers in PvE where you can get away with it.
You may not be able to 'layeth the smacketh' down quite so quickly, but your HAM cost efficiency rockets. Consequently you'll end up doing more damage for the same cost in the end. Against armoured foes, you obviously do need to rely on VKs, but in this case, I'd concentrate on keeping myself healed (if you have medic), throw in a couple of strong hits occasionally, and try to fight intelligently.
I know some people will disagree, but I'd generally advise against spamming UH3 ever - Do one or two, see which pool is lowest, then concentrate on targetted pool attacks. As a TKM, speed is not necessarily everything - We have good melee defense, and coupled with Intimidate we can last a fair time. If you no longer require unarmed XP, take your time a little bit more - You may live longer

I dunno how many have ever had the opportunity. But if your not actually trying to kill what your fighting, and really trying to just "tank" we can last a pretty damned long time.
CoB+intimidate+kd+warcry+dizzy+stun+blind
You get all those going for you whatever your fighting is going to be horribly gimped. Then just let your ranged buddies take it out.
Most TKA's I see never really "tank" in a group. Most TKA's I see never bother with anything other than kd+dizzy+uh2 or 3.
We can really do alot to defend ourselves and stay alive during a creature onslaught but so few people know how me thinks.
