again, no matter what you heard it is only a rumor. Go into any profession forum right now and you'll see a lot of misinformation about what is "supposed" to happen. Don't believe any of it until it is posted officially by a developer.

I consider a correspondent an "official source".

Also things like Friday Features, or maybe stuff posted on the Lucasarts web site.

Heh, I was actually referencing Travon's post, since he singled out Developers. But yes, the overall meaning is correct. It is a rumor unless expressly stated by an Official source.

Its ok, I don't wear armor anyways since all armor is vunerable to lightsabers.

Actually there are bugged Sets of Tantel that have resists against lightsaber (and work)

Not to mention PSGs just pulled outta the crate

All melee professions are martial artists. If armor encumbers us, it should slow down someone swinging a sword, or axe, or pike just the same. Also, armor should hinder defenses that ranged opponents have that relate to movement (dodge, counterattack, block) and should also screw up a pistol melee hit and a rifleman's concealment and sneak abilities.

PSGs are bugged in the sense that LS resist should be there instead of dissapearing at server reset / boundary. There are a couple of posts by TH confirming this, and it's also mentioned here.

"A new damage type has been created called, "lightsaber damage". All armor is vulnerable to lightsabers, with the exception of Personal Shield Generators"
