Oh great he's a commando too can someone say conflict of interests lol.

Example:

Can you get the heavy weapons unclasified as melee so we can get the proper dmg boost when attacking them?

"no i like being able to use my flamethrwer from 64m and specials at 16m while dealing 2.5X dmg to rifle and carbineers"

FYI 16m is not melee range, i wish it was its not melee range is 5m

lol, we'll see i guess

Well Mister, from what I can see, you're definetly the man for the job. I've looked at some of your previous posts and such, and if there is anyone to follow up TW, it's best that it's you. But yeah...Commandos=Bad, TKA=Good.

Congratulations, Mister_Heavy!

Like others here, I have come to respect your opinions and always take a minute to read your posts. The powers at be who actually choose their correspondants have done a terrific job in selecting you. And I'm not surprised to see it was you one bit. I'm excited for you and excited to have you as our man on the inside. So GOOD for you, Mister Heavy, that's awesome. I believe you'll fill TW's shoes just fine!

Right the **edit** on. Congrats, Heavy.

And Thunder, though i didn't post a reply to your "goingAFF (away from forums)for a while" post, i will say here, i'm sorry to see you go. I'm glad Heavy is taking the reins though... all in all, as we have been on the right track since the first Days of Thunder (haha, sorry) i believe we will continue to maintainheadway with Heavy corresponding. Good luck to you, Thunder, with your personal matters. And of course, good luck to you, Heavy. You may find luck is all that keeps you sane on these boards.

Oh and why i pick on the flame thrower issue is that even though our toughness downs the initial dmg it does nothing to save us from the inevitable buring to death in two to three tics which unlike bleeds takes 15 sec instead of 45 secs.

We'd, i at least, would like to see heavy weapons classified as rifles so we get the 2.5x dmg mod so there is a chance we could down them before getting fried.

Even with this there is still only a chance since they get 16m and we get 5m

this is a complex way to handle this particulare issue here. it will create more headaches then solve for other professions. remember flame thrower does not have the accuracy that riffle does.

The solution should be addressed specificly for the melee comunity, not the game at large. The toughness issue specificly is the route of this problem. Our toughness right now as reported and confirmed by thunderwulf is in fact melee damage absorption only. The issue is now that with the change for flame to range, TKs and other melees will feel the hurt more.

The solutions: simply put, our toughness and other melee's toughness should absorb all damage not just kinetic. This is an issue that i would love to see being brought up over and over, tell SoE takes a look at it. It needs to be fixed.

Mister Heavy,

First thank you for taking your personal time to represent the TK community, I'm sure you will do a good job. As I have not logged into the game for over 3 weeks I was not up to date on many of the current issues/perceptions. I have been waiting for the melee gameplayexperince to improve prior to investing more time into SWG. I took a few minutes (30) to read up on current issues and your recent post. As you have already stated and as I don't want to put you in a position to start your role in a defensive posture I was not sure if I should post this..but I will trusting you will take it with the good will with witch it is intended...

Right now you seen to identify with Commandos alot more than TK's there its said

I wanted to see what your position was regarding TK's so I could have a better understanding of the topics you are passionate about, and a very large percentage of the post I found related to the commando profession not the TK profession in the last 30-45 days. It would *appear* to the casual observer (me) that alot of time has been spentdefending the current power of commandos not being as powerful as perceived. While I beleive you will be commited to the TK cause, my *perception* was that you were alot less defensive regarding TK's (combat abilities) than commando abilities. I only note this as I'm sure im not the only person trying to get an understanding of our new correspondent. After reading some of your post I will say that there are issues we disagree on (which is very much OK, as you were named the corrospondent which suggest you are more in line than I ) but I hope that despite your current Commando idenification TK's can hope to have the same level of passion regarding the profession Thunder displayed.

Please remember many of us (LOL ok me) play a TK because we (me) don't find ranged weapon classes rewarding or fun, while that is a valid option for some it's not for a segment of the TK community.

I wish you the best of luck, and again thank you for taking the time out of your gameplay/life to represent this community.

Teras Kasi are lethal, nearly impossible to knock down or unbalance(Just kidding). Facing an opponent armed with ranged weapons, high-level abilities enable him to evade blaster fire and close quickly(Not really)...

Ignore the troll and you'll be fine heavy, I have seen many correspondants fall to the level of trolls and suffer for it. Glad your representing the community good luck!.

Welcome Mister_Heavy to the TK correspondent and your babtism of "FIRE" (sorry about the pun)

But as for that guys he did have to pick another profession he just chose Commando and as for me one is as good as another they all have drawbacks and strong points....TK - combat, Commando - combat, but he could have just as easily picked Doctor, Combat Medic, or a Creature Handler. The point is that ANY profession combined with a TKA is a good combination because it has the TKA in it

Good luck man. As you can already tell, you're going to need it. Only Advice I can give ya is to stick to TKA topics and ignore lamers. But from what I've already seen you can do the latter. You have some city-sized shoes to fill, so don't get discouraged, just do your best.
