rifleman is also a good profession, works well for PvP as well, it would get you better defense thats for sure... just a question of if you want to stick melee or go ranged / melee

My latest char on TC2 was a master TK, master fencer and master brawler (I think) and wow.....it was outstanding. High state defenses as well as evasion defenses. Lunge 2, intimidate 2, plus all the usual TK stuff. Over a 2 hour span I lost 1 duel out of about 15 (no stun armor....bah).....if I wasn't so attached to my live character template I would absolutely use this one.

Having doc for self buffs and mid combat cures is also very nice but thats up to the individual.

From a non-standard point of view: Ranger.

True, you won't get lots of defense, and your combat is limited to your TKA skills. However, Ranger is great for serveral reasons:

*Mask Scent/Camo: Ever been KD's while riding a swoop after your buffs ran out on an adventure planet? Me too. With Ranger, you can hide yourself from aggro critters and sometimes even from NPC's.

*Tracking: If you want PvE, tracking is a great skill to go hunting with

*Trapping: I know I've gotten into fights with critters I cant' fight (buffs drop, armor dies, etc.) and the ability to slow or freeze a creature in place is great for those last-second getaways

*Role-playing: If you play a true Teras-Kasi, Ranger is the best complementary role-playing proffession. As a true monk, I live in the woods (in camps) and I heal myself, and I live off the land, whilea part of the Antarian Rangers (a society formed to help and guide the Jedi--btw, the Antarian Rangers are actually part of the extended universe).

In the end, for combat, you should probably go a different way, but a TKM/Master Ranger is awesome for hunting, and decent in PvP.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

I've enjoyed my current template for quite some time now. TKM, Master Fencer, Master Brawler, Scout 3/0/0/0 and some medic.

Good for PVE and PVP.

Forget CM. If you get CM then you'll have to pick *either* TKM or rifleman.

Some medic and some scout would be nice. You can also go TKM/master rifleman/4440 fencer for defenses, or do TKM/master rifleman and take 0040 pistoleer for defenses and novice scout and medic.

I used to be tkm/master fencer but but have sice virtually given up pvp. Am now tinkering with a TKM/ creature handler template, purely for pvE purposes, but you never know, when the combat balance comes out it come back into fashion.
