What's the best way to go after 100% kinetic resists, then? Run or fight with a different set of skills? I figure that I'd like to stay with something in the Brawler class because A) I'll already have the melee defense attributes, and B) I'll get more if I add another combat class from Brawler. Swordsman, of course, has the massively-damaging Power Hammer, but Fencer has the Stun Baton. What do you guys recommend?

My advise, pretty much re-read the thread for info on kinetic resist
As for advice on what melee profession, well this page will be oh so slightly biased towards tka... but there are merits to all of them of course, depends on your style - personally I've tried them all and loved tka the most

Well naturally, TKA is a given, that's why I'm here.
I meant in addition to TKA, what combat profession would be a good compliment? Since TKA does kinetic exclusively for the time being, it's pretty worth worthless against high kinetic resist creatures, and there's usually at least one vulnerability to be exploited. We may not be able to cover acid, energy, stun, and heat like a Pistoleer or another blaster-based profession, but we at least have the choice of one other type of damage--blast for Swordsman, stun for Fencer, electricity for Pikeman. What are other TKA's thoughts on this?

Ipersonally love Teras Kasi Master and refuse to drop it for various reasons.
I was Fencer and loved it, until I bought an overpriced stun baton and sold it for a mil less.
I suggest going Master Swordsman too. Swordsman and Teras Kasi are a great combo in my opinion.
Spend a mil on a 230 max damage Vibro Knuckler. Spend a mil or 2 on a good 4.3 speed 650+ damageAcklay Powerhammer,
and go kill stuff. Maybe even get some Fencer for defense. Master Brawler, some medic and you're set.
You are virtually unbeatable if you have a speed cappedSwordsman with a good Powerhammer + TKM with a good Vibro Knuckler.
TKM+MSM= Win!(maybe even get some Fencer for defense).
Get good skills, good weapons, and have fun with it bro!
Ohh and by the way, Pikeman also has Energy damage along with Electricity and Kinetic

Last night I started working on the other skill lines in Brawler...a single kaadu nest essentially gave me all the XP I needed for One Handed I, Two Handed I, and Polearms I. With my Ubese armor and my melle defense I've already picked up from Unarmed I-IV, they barely touched me! I'm still only about 80k from getting Teras Kasi Novice, but I hope to tak care of that tonight or tomorrow night. I think I'll master Brawler for the extra bonuses to meleee defense and speed, and maybe pick up Swordsman as my second combat profession. Blast and kinetic damage should be a good combination.
What weapon does energy damage for the Pikeman? Or am I getting my energy types mixed up, and the Pikeman's main weapon (long vibroaxe, isn't it?) does energy damage and not electrical?
EDIT: Ah, did some research, found the Nightsister Energy Lance. Looks like PIkeman may be a good addition to TKA, then, since you have your choice of two other types of damage--electrical and energy. Swordsman might do more damage via blast with the powerhammer, but you're limited to only one other type of damage you can deal. What type of damage does the Scythe do, though? Is that kinetic?

I've been TK pretty much since release, mostly because the ranged profs gave too much of a "helpless caster in EQ feel"... also because I just love the style of fighting. As my "second" combat profession, I chose fencer, simply because I don't really have to master it to get a good effect. I am 0/4/2/0 in fencing, which gives me a decent amount of speed and defenses (speed and majority of defenses are all in the same line, making it nicer than say, swords). I am able to use a stun baton against creatures/npc's that I need to. I am not into PvP so this is not stacking to become unbeatable, it's stacking so that PvE is a little easier for me.
If I could drop fencer, I would in a minute. At the moment it's the only way for me to be viable.
