I just wanna add that for a TK tanking them the type of SBD it is you need differnt things in preperation.
The DWB SBDs will go melee & can easily be tanked by a TKM in light comp even when you are unbuffed (I did this on friday, you need novice Medic to heal yourself but you don't take much damage), by light compI just meen 80% kin & 60% base, you will need mind food (I was on 2 brandys) but thats about it, they don't do much damage. In this case I tanked it while 6 others (all unbuffed I might add) killed it.A little help from my guild leaders Gurrek helped but most the time it just it on me. It is possible to tank 2 like this as well as I have had the bad situation of dying in the DWB & still going to tank.
On the Vette how ever they seem to be MUCH harder, I was up there fully buffed on Saturday night in my heavy Energy Comp (as from experience they never (or very rarly) go melee) & still took a beating by them, how ever you can survive having 2 chasing you if you are in full comp & on a pixie (I found this out the fun way

Actually no, it is easy to tank (not harm, just keep him off your buddies). It just takes some strategy and food.

TKM = good toughness
Toughness = reduced damage
Reduced Damage = perfect for tanking so the capped Swordsman/Rifleman do the mega damage with Commando's.

yarble & StabMastah, just to poing out he asked if a TKM can TANK them, not solo, not kill. Trust me when I say you can tank 2 SBDs unbuffed as a TK, it hurts, itscrews your armour, it gives you ALOT of BF, & you spend most your healing your self but it can be done. You slip up & you do end up dead but it really can be done. Just trust me on this.
The 'vette SBDs are a differnt story, they hit very hard, you can tank they but not for long, they have an awful way of taking your mind out fast as well, it can be done though, but to effectivly tank this type you need a Master Ranged proffesion as well for Ranged Mitidation 3.
It's much easier to tank the DWB SBD's as a TK more then anything else as long as you make sure you get them in to melee.

There is a big difference between tanking and killing.
on N'Varra's DWB raids, I've been able to tank 2 SBD's without trouble wearing 38% Stun Composite (found out the hard way that the Blacksun and Deathwatch guys occasionally switch to stun damage at range)
Now by tanking them, i mean keeping them off other people, so that they can actually do the damage, and i just keep it tied up. My last few runs i've been fighting without VK on, since the damage i do to the sbd is so small vs the ham drain from trying to hit it hard enough to hurt it. For blacksuns, deathwatch and battle droids, feel free to put on your vk, but you'll almost always find that you have an sbd you'd be better to stand off against.
my combat profs: TKM, MBrawler, Fencer 4000, and Smuggler 0010 for ranged mit 1 
I tried tanking a couple times using fencer when i was MFencer too, but i sucked up the damage since unarmed toughness is so much better than +whatever dodge against the sbds.
