Use it, love it, learn to macro it. CoB is the savior of the melee professions. You are correct about the time for the duration of CoB, and efficacy = effect or effectiveness, meaning basically how often your CoB will work for you.

what is center of being? and what does it do?

Center of Being: while working, it greatly increases the chance of a professions "special defense" to happen.

This means when center of being is on, it causes Defensive Accuity, Dodge, Block, and Counter-Attack to all work much more often. So, for example, when a Fencer uses CoB, they dodge significantly more than when it is off.

In TKA's case, however, CoB causes our Defensive Accuity to work "more often". The problem is that DA is currently broken and either does very little, or absolutely nothing at all. So, 10 x 0 = 0. Thus, CoB might help just barely for a TKA(and that is a big big might), but even if it does just barely do something, it really isn't worth the cost and effort to use it.

For any other melee profession, however, using CoB all the time is an absolute must.
