lol, no disrespect taken.

I don't play a Jedi character for one reason. I don't want to unlock, just to be harrassed by other players about things like AFK tags. It seems more and more Jedi are getting nasty tells when they've stepped away to get food or something.

Jedi shouldn't be owned by FotM templates, but they shouldn't be godly. It's going to take time to balance the Jedi profession into what is acceptable in the community in terms of damage and defense vs. certain combat situations.

I think we as players, owe the respectable Jedi. Sure, they have a tough time, and some of them s=don't complain about anything. It's those people that everyone should look up to as a example of how we should ast. The Jedi grind is long and boring (so I hear), let's give the few Jedi with the maturity enough to still be a respectable member of society the respect they deserve.

And yes, every profession has it's whiners. TKA is no different from any other profession in that respect. Every profession has something the players feel need changed to make some aspects work, as in the 100% kinetic resist, and things that are childish to whine about, as in the buff terminals.

Thanks for the responses guys, I was just bored and decided to see what everyone else thought. Just remember, I don't think less of a Jedi (or a player) until they go and prove to me that they don't need to be respected. Don't think I'm a Jedi hater, lol.

Jedi are just people that wanna play in god mode without having to see a doc and buy a compo armor.

Nothing else really.

Being uber shouldn't be a reason for people to want to be a Jedi.

Trust me, Jedi Guardians will own everyone and their mother. There is no way a TKM is going to take down one of them. They need to stop complaining about it. And, I'm sorry, but I just don't have a whole lot of sympathy. The fact of the matter is the devs instituted a system that rewarded people who didn't play a character and/or template. And, the road to uber Jedi is *supposed* to be difficult. They're going to be unstoppable eventually anyway, and they're getting the most dev attention out of any profession...probably more than all of them combined. There's absolutely no excuse that they should be whining about TKM's.

Yeah Jedi are whinny, going on and on about their the only profession that cant wear armour and how it makes them suck in pvp. WAIT A SECOND... ARMOUR DOESNT PROTECT VS LIGHTSABER DAMAGE (at least not yet!) I dueled a jedi freind o mine and did the same without armour and with armour. jedi CAN own teras kasis EASILY, it just takes a little more tactics then mindless f10 f11 f9 during the fight. I dueled a dark jediknight and got whooped, cause he used very intelligent attacks and used a vareity of techniques.

Now no kidding that a tkm can whoop a jedi padawan, think of think ofpadawan as the brawler unarmed 1-4 part of tkm. And yes it takes a long time to master those things, but its because after youve done them theiris almost nothing left in the game for u. You People who cry about 'I WORKED SO HARD TO BECOME ANOVICE PADAWAN AND I SUCK!!!" arent realizing that jedi profesion isnt meant to be the uber profession, its meant to be a unique proffesion to add a driving goal to the game, sumthin for normal players to strive for sumthing for them to do after theyve tired of playing as a teras kasi, or any other normal profession. Just like the jedi councils there for the jedi to drive them. Jedi are meant not to slaughter all players in pvp unendlessly, but to keep intrest in the game.

Is being slaughtered with no hope of ever winningintresting to any of you? Probally not, thats why some proffesions have to be able to stop jedi. And im sure tkm isnt the only proffesion able to.Ranged fighters who kite (run away while shooting) could take one, cms kiting could.

Once again jedi arent here to be uber and slaughter the masses. Jedi are here to add vareity to the game, to keep players playing, to - dare i say it - protect soe's investment (wich might be why soe is trying to cater to jedis as much as possible). and yes they are ,,jedi reading this, those of you who are upset by their changes probally fail to see that they make u more unique (special clothes, glowing swords, magical skills ect.) wich is really what jedi is all about, not about being uber, any cm/rifleman can be that.

Now until next time keep those sabers swining and those force balls flinging, remeber jedi u are the few, the proud, the brave, here to protect and serve the collective populous of swg, wether u like it or not.

(and yes i did kinda rip that form an army commercial)

Before anyone goes off about the movies, saying that "Luke skywalker could kill dozens of stormtroopers like they were nothing!" Keep in mind that he is one of those extremely talented, rare, ridiculous types of Jedi that only come around every once in a blue moon. Remember the Geonosis scene in episode 2? They were dropping like flies.

Jedi is not supposed to be omnipotent until you reach Master status. Even then, you should still have trouble with other masters.

I can't really say anything about Jedi vs. TKM because I don't have a jedi and I have only hada TKM character for a month or two. What I can say is that the attitude that jedi are special because they have spent a lot of time grinding for their character is one of the main problems I see with this game. Some of us have stuck to one profession, nerfs and all and played it as best as we could almost every day since the beginning of the game. We have put in as much or more effort into our professionsas any jedi and done our very best to become as good at our professions as possible. As a reward for this, our professions are often ignored and we hear from jedi characters that their profession is better because they worked harder for it. Just remember that some of us may have been working hard at our professions since before some jedi even knew that SWG existed and that you can't just assume that we have not worked just as hard as you have.

I think I protest the Jedi changes in a much easier way... by grinding out Ranger and trying to kill off alltheir spawns as fast as possible. That's a whole lot easier than complaining.
