Irecently put +9 worth of unarmed dam aa's into one set of comp and I have to say i havent noticed any remarkable amount of difference (admitidadly i haven't had a good look at the figures). I will compare it later on and post.

" You are asking for proof? How about some proof that they DO work, can we see some of that please?"
As I've said countless times, there is no proof one way or the other on the issue. Due to the small amount of damage that attachments can add, the large range of damage that a TKA can do, and frankly the lack of knowledge on how damage works in general, we can't tell.
In other words... We have formulas which show what the max damage you should be doing in the game is, but there always seem to be hidden factors adjusting that so that what you calculate damage should be and what it ends up being don't match.

I agree, from time to time you do get some weird numbers. So some hidden factors are in play. BUT most of the time you get the damage excactly as expected. When you find a mob like this, use it to do your testing.
Useable subjects are:
Low end npc, like RSF troopers: They have no resists to clutter things.
Most creature mobs: They have some kinetic resist and AR1, but this dont apply in your combat log.
Lairs: To my knowledge AR/AP calculations dont apply at all here, so damage should be as expected.
Other players: They make good subjects because you can make them stand still
But there are some fallpits:
-Restance and AR/AP calculations if they wear armor, this still doesnt apply in the combat log.
-Toughness (for tka 57%, for tka/brawler 62%) applies in combat log. Multiply by 0.43 or 0.38 .
-Pvp reduction 75% (multiply by 0.25 duh
). This also applies in your combat log.
-Mitigation, this only applies to the max damage. Also in your combat log. I belive mitigation3 is 60%, but im not sure. (if so, multiply your max dam with 0.4)
Note that this is how it seems to be in my experience (and memory), so if you see something that you know is wrong, please do post about it. Same goes if you have any helpfull additions.
Edit: Ohh yea.. Forgot the most important: Dam formula
Min dam: ( unarmedDamSkillMod + vkMin ) * 1.5 * specialMultiplier
Max dam: ( unarmedDamSkillMod + vkMax ) * 1.5 * specialMultiplier
specialMultiplier is 1 with standart attack, 4 with UH3 and 2 with areaAttack2.
If you are not using a vk, insert 10 as min dam and 20 as max dam.
unarmedDamSkillMod is 250 as master tka, 265 as trando. +25 if you use burnout sauce, +0 no matter how many SEA's you have (sorry had to do that
)
Enjoy your testing

Yes i did, NO they dont work.
To all of you who believe they work: Im fine with it, thats ok with me. But until you start posting some test results, i will still be sure they dont. Others might believe you and spend many hard earned credits on equipment that currently is worthless.

Instead of testing it with a TKM, how about trying it with 1/0/0/0 Brawler where the damage will be a lot more noticeable.
Use berserk and attack a 40k layer without tapes and a 40k layer with tapes.
Whats the Max damage you hit for doing each? If the tapes work, it should be while wearing tapes.
Whats the avg damge per hit? Again, if the tapes work it should be while wearing them.
Atleast, we should have a definative answer...

...people that say they work say the help is too little to notice...lmao
but the people that test it say it doesn work

How about this, think what you want, then when you duel someone who has + damage attachments that work, dont stand in the corner too long

Isnt the guide that if it is a mod you can get from a profession, its a mod that works? Unarmed Damage is a mod you get in tk and brawler, so I do believe it works. But seeing the effects of such a bonus is kinda hard.

Hmmm... Maybe they do work, maybe they dont...
Personally i think the best test would be a 20 hit average on a lair with a noveice brawler with the tapes, and a 20 hit average with a novice brawler withot the tapes.
You should only use no-spawn enemies for this, something happens to lair defences when enimies spawn out of them...
To be honest, the difference is tiy and wuld make little to no difference in any kind of fight.
The real problem is that they are vastly overpriced...

If these tapes don't work for one person, they aren't going to work for EVERYONE
