so is my blasterfist worth using or should i just go unarmed?



Need to get somewhere cheaply? I'm your man. Charter space flights. If for group hunting, it's free as long as im involved If for anything else, see me about fees(Alot cheaper than normal interplanetary transportation).

Need a job done? Need protection? Need anything? Ask!

I get much better DPS with my blaster fist. My action runs out faster too but... I kill things faster so it evens out. Since TKAs already kill things with the blinding speed of watching paint dry or grass grow... I'll take the slightly better speed and the increased action cost.

The elemental damage on the Katarn Knuckler is broken. I still do more damage unarmed than I do with it equipped.

Maybe its me, but I just don't get it.


How is it that our "profession - weapons" don’t stack with unarmed combat DPS is beyoud me. I will not count any quest weapons, ( Katarn, Necrosis drop) these should not be included. It amazes me that TKM as a profession was giving a rank of 3 on offense. When Pikemaster is awarded only 2 - Yet, which happens to stack nicely with TKM unarmed dps? The only reason I can think of - why the Devs don't consider stacking our weapons (even standard profession ones) is because of Teres Kasi Innate Armor.


Could someone please explain this rational to me.…?

There are never answers in the tk forums... just guessing and nothing getting done about things!

No, its not due to innate armour. I was a design decision to make actual unarmed fighting a viable alternative to using knucklers. If they stuck with stacking you would have to be insane to go unarmed if you actually wanted to damage something. Now you (theoretically) have a choice.

I watched my damage in combat and found out:



  • Melee Assult does more damage than Advanced Combo Attack which Melee Assult has a faster Cooldown than Advanced Combo Attack, even Melee Hit does more damage than Advanced Combo Attack but has less damage than Melee Assult.

  • From others knucklers limit your damage and I found out myself when using Blaster Fists, I did against a valarian, 400 damage with Blaster Fists, then againthe same valarian1000 damage without the Blaster Fists.

Melee hit, melee strike and melee assult seem alright but advanced combo does less damage when its a Tera Kasi ability. Im not really worried about it but Innate armour doesn't do much protection than real armour does. But thats nothign my cenetr of being holds me out enough to solo a couple of CL 80's.

Ok, ill buy that theory, but how does Pikeman out damage us (since there offense is only rated 2)


Teras Kasi with a rated offense of 3 - something is not right regardless if you have the choice or not.

Maybe you should watch it a little closer, there is currently a bug with the output for damage. The ACA does do more damage MA and MH. Watch the Health bar or turn on full combat spam and look at the combat window.


There are several threads about this.


But I do agree we don't do enough damage to warrent a 3 in there chart.

It's pretty pathetc that none of the craftable melee weapons in the game are useable by a TKM.... just freaking stupid beyond belief.
