Well i play a Twi'lek Smuggler/TKA and i've not had any troubles fighting unarmed either.
It all really depends i think on tweaking your stats to suit your fighting style.
Spam a lot of specials? Tweak for health related stats & substats.

Equilib is nice to get you out of a tight spot, but it is on a 1 hour timer so on average its useless while leveling, its more useful during PVP but again its only once an hour.

Hi, I have some questions about the TKA class and Trandoshans.

At Teras Kasi Master, do the bonuses that Trandoshans get make any noticable difference at all compared to a non-Trandoshan?

Unarmed Accuracy +10 ---- does this even make a difference (especially in PvP, do you miss at all?) At Master I think you already have +155, what's +10 more?

Unarmed Speed +5 ---- I assume that your speed caps out at some point anyway, so does this affect anything at all?

Unarmed Damage +15 ---- You get I think +98 to damage at Master. +15 more doesn't seem like a big deal if you are attacking something with 1000's of Health points. Also, do you know if that +15 is added on before or after the 75% damage reduction in PvP?

I picked Trandoshan as my character's race originally because I wanted to be a Commando/TKA. At the time I didn't know that Trando's can't wear boots or gloves, but I decided to stick with it because of the Unarmed bonuses. I have just started the Commando skills and haven't started TKA yet, and I'm not sure if I want to train TKA any more.

When I'm fighting stuff with my flamethrower it bugs me every time I'don't' see the "your armor absorbs X amount of damage", because I know I got hit in the foot or hand, and it does a lot more damage than normal.

So if I DO decide to train TKA (or even if I don't), do you think being a Trandoshan is a goodidea at all?

I cannot stress this enough: If you play this game for numbers, you will get bored, and it will get old. If you play the class you like with the skill you want, you will have fun and if you work at it, you WILL be as tough as any other race can be. The racial perks are just perks, not deciding factors. Your wants are the deciding factors. Enjoy it, it's a game.

I'm a Zabrak TKM and I duel a Trandoshan TKM before. He hits me around 34 at a time and I hit him around 32 both without VK and not using special.

He beated me like that. Seems like Trandoshan has upper hand, but in the long run. If we both have power boost, I'm sure it will be a different story.

The advantage of being zabrak is for high willpower which regen. mind fast. Since we can always use medic skill to heal our Heath and Action. Fast mind regen. really helps.

I like my zabrak TKM and would not change a thing.

-=Now you wonder why I'm TKM and you are still fighting Bantha.=-
