OK I can see your view point when comming from such a fricked up, neglected step child like Pikeman...but that in no way negates the legitimate concerns that we do have about our profesion...yes I love TKA too but there ARE concerns that are viabal and legit so dont down us for trying to address them dude..thats not right..

i think the key thing coming from most of the ppl here is that ALL melee classes need some lovin'. ive been master pikeman for awhile now.. and i do most of my hunting with a master TK. i will say that he whoops way more a$$ than i can... which is fine (helps me stay alive longer).

everyone knows pikeman is the red-headed stepchild of the SOE developers. even at master i get my a$$ handed to me every day.. but i keep going. i will cancel my subscription before i dump pikeman.

btw - ive even started moving up the TKA meditation tree to help out with all the wounds i take.

You can't really blame melee professions for resenting tkas. To you the recent power boost changes might seem like a fix, but to the other melee professions it seems like soe gave the most powerful melee profession another advantage over them.

How do you think it feels to know that another profession does pretty much everything you can do except better? If you are a tka, you just have no idea how that feels. Of course, if the devs continue "fixing" TKA then there is probably going to be a lot of anger coming from the other melee professions which will probably cause a tka nerf so maybe then lol.

I dont resent you guys, dont hate you, and im not trying to generalize. After all, i AM a TKA now, I sold all my pikeman skills.

The legit things that the TKA complain about are ok, these things NEED to be fixed, but these concerns are the same concerns EVERY melee complains about and should have the right to.

What I am trying to say, it hurts that some of you would actully whine about somethings, when like I said, pike and fencer are about one tenth of TKA, and they dont whine.

Thats all im trying to say, all melee needs to stick together. Im not against you, after all, I AM tka andI love it!

TKA is not weak. I can easily kill mobs with my 0/1/1/1 TKA that my 0/2/2/2 Bounty Hunter can't. With the proper stat adjustment Knockdown cost very little to use with TKA. The only time I have a problem is with ranged attackers. This is the way it should be. We rule at melee but not at ranged. Accept it.

And for all of those that don't know it...

All professions are not supposed to be "equal" at combat.

I realise that we have alot of different cultures represented on the forum here who might not get the heavy handed sarcasm and outright siliness of my previous post, but for crying out loud... only one person gets that it's a joke?

Yes they are, but not in the fashion you think. Each has its own places and situations where they are strong and weak. I see a few problems right now, but I'm sure they are being addressed, all the others I saw were.

TKA? Weak? *giggles* I can trash two stormtroopers at once and I'm weak? hehe, If I have my leviasquall out I can clear Mos Entha of those 12 annoying clones in white within 30 minutes. We're not weak. We just have to play it smart.

Number one. If you go for that PVP stuff, do not play with people that think having a secondary profession is "cheating". They need to have their heads examined. If you spend the 15 points on medic, the 6 on novice CH, or whatever you dabble in then you're well within your right to use those skills you worked to obtain.

Yes we do have a major disadvantage in ranged fighting. I'd really like to see ranged toughness mod for us but thats just my little dream, lol. Untill such a time we need to rely on other skills to get in close. Creatures, Stims, gun skills, etc all can help close that gap. Especially since the certs for the good guns are easy to get. lol

We aren't weak, but we're not easy either. When you get in a fight you can't just spam a button and win. Its not that simple. If I wanted that I'd go spam stopping shot or eyeshot as one of those professions. That junk is foraoling lamers, let them have their "pvp pwnage". More fun to make fun of the alphabet soup they spray at other before they fight.

Just be smart. There are always ways to win. You just have to find them. And no we can't just give you macro's. You have to be able to think in game, in battle, and change your plans on the opponents moves. You have to be cunning, we can't give you a macro to make you able to strategize. Its an ever changing game and you have to adjust.

Not everyone has as good a sense of humor, methinks. A majority of people on these boards wouldn't know a good dose of sarcasm if it jumped up and bit them 2 times in the butt. And by 'these boards' i don't mean just the tk board, so don't go getting all antsy guys and gals. Heck, sometimes I even go so far as to put sarcasm tags on my sarcasm, so i don't have to make posts like you just did explaining that you were making a funny. like [sarcasm] omgroflmao lololdood i roxx0red j00! tka pwnzz0rz [/sarcasm]

Wow ... and to think I've actually been supporting pikemen like you. Guess I'll have to reevaluate that.

Also, if you think that the 'That target is out of range' problem is not really a problem at all (this is the single-most problem we TKA's have been 'whining' about--please get your facts straight) then I really have nothing else to say to you as you are clearly blinded by some self-appointed desire to condemn 'all that is not pikeman'.

Gee, just love playing the PvP game, then looking at my combat window aftward, and seeing 70 - 80% of the window filled with "That target is out of range. That target is out of range. That target is out of range."

Get a grip... and don't 'diss' your fellow melee-ers: They're the only friends you have.

In my very humble oppinion, I would prefer other melee professions get fixed before the tka's do. I'm not saying that tka's shouldn't get fixed at all, but I'm tired of seeing "Teras Kasi Novice"under everyone's name. Once the other's get fixed, it will help thin out an already over crowded profession (like bh and commando's). And the only reason tka is so popular is the reason stated above...we can do what every other class can, only better. That should not be, for it is stealing away from the purposes of the others. I prefer to be the all around tough guy (why i chose tka)but i dont think we should be better at certain things than the fencer, two-handed, and pikeman. This was not meant to be anything other than a vent of my feelings, so don't take this personally as a discount for all the tka problems, because there are certainly enough of them too.

And not many "ranged" mobs out there is there? Nope....Teras kasi, the only ones able to do squat by themselves in PvE now (well BH can too, but they do spend a ton more SP then you to be able to do it, you guys just get boosted for no reason except for the all too common "we get kited in PvP"...cry me a river)
