It was brought up before about some sort of Dojo for TKs to do trials and learn form and stuff.

I like the idea, and id like to see somthing come of it. perhaps a sort of half theme park for TKs only, as you grow higher in levels more quests available to you, and half trials. were you can receive TK only gifts from NPC masters and get to learn some interesting tid bits about the Order your belong to.

perhaps we can get one of those cool meditation mats as one of our rewards, or a little prayer alter or somthing.

this class is intersting as heck, and id like to see more thoughts about this from people, if this is in fact interesting to other people then myself.

I'm not saying you're wrong, that would be cool. But our board is flooded as is with other brawler classes whining about us. The last thing we need is something awesome that no one else has. Then it would be a total whine-fest.

Unless you're talkin' about them strippers! TKAs should get stripper pets!

Did you know that missions from the artisan terminals scale their difficulty based on your combat level?

How does this make any sense?

I've run a Teras Kasi Dojo called the Martial Order for months now, 3 masters teaching currently, with a 4 on their way, many students. I don't know if this is what you're talking about or if you mean a series of quests or something that's TK profession related. That would be nice btw. Of course, they'd have to do it for all of the professions.

What good is running a dojo when I can get training from any schmuck on the street or an NPC?

It'd be nice to have a suit of armor with like 1 encumberance but only 1% effectiveness on all damage types (still Light armor rating though). It'd be perfect for melee classes, so making it TK only would just be kind of mean, but this would make a nice reward for the dojo quests.

bah i would rather them have armor that has encumbrance even higher than composite but with even higher protection against EVERYTHING (including stun). Ok, my opinion may be biased since i am a masterdoctor, but i still like the idea lol

he is talking about RL not in game

1) yes its an idea for all class's not just TK, but since i dont give a rats ass about other class's i posted the idea in the TK boards and releated it to TKs

2) a profession theme park, but not just a theme park, a profession only theme park. you gotta belong to that profession to do it

3) not just your normal lame them park experience, with mindless quest doing for usless junk caping some guy you have no idea who he is and how it releats to the game

4) A theme park that gives you real HISTORY lessions as you do the quests of TK as it is releated to Star Wars

5) A theme park that is not just for doing quests adn your done, on going monthy stories, much like the acts, but for your profession

6) a theme park that grants you NEW titles, not just the ones you get from your trainer

7) progressing in theme park requires leveling your charecter. have differant stages. Say an NPC for novis, npc for master meditation, and npc for master power, and npc for master balance, and a npc for master stricking. Then a NPC for master TK

8) like the meditation master guy might give you a meditation mat in one of the serious of quests he gives you.

etc etc etc

really the possibilities are endless

And this is not just a TK only thing, although the Dojo would be TK only, you give all the professions somthing fun like this to play with. I would certianly skip the non elite professions, and only do elite professions. Granted some elite professions have less history and are a bit more boring then TK, so rightly so, the TK dojo might be more interesting then most, more fun, and more indepth. Not saying its the only cool one, but you know what i mean.

Really? Wow, and here I thought that Teras Kasi was fictional. I wonder if his Teras Kasi dojo is next door to the Bene Gesserit "weirding way" convent and Hogwort's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Actually, Hogwarts is the next block down, good too, cause their old musty place is lowering my Dojo's property value. Seriously though. The purpose for it isn't to save them money on traing to get the numbers...it's to TEACH. The other day when I was killing this Master CH's two full grown graul maulers at once solo he was saying that most TKM's have the title but don't know how to use their skills. They suck...and it's unfortunately becoming more and more common. I'm not bragging here, I'm trying to say that we teach the application of our skills.

Any idiot (as the 4 day master post, etc proves) can grind the xp...but there are few true masters of Teras Kasi. My students do things that most masters can't. They know every skills and it's use and they have their techniques down to instinct. THIS is the use of a Dojo. We share experiences and tactics and we help each other gain knowledge, xp too, but KNOWLEDGE is power, xp is just numbers. If you're on Radiant, look up Lo-Bai in game. We'll show you what Teras Kasi Master means.
