Power 4 is the point where you can hit hard/fast enough that you don't really need VKs anymore. However, having said that don't go and forget about them - they still have their uses. They become more of a situational weapon.

When to use them:
1. Fighting a well-armoured opponent - they will make a big difference here as they are AP 1.
2. When you're simply "tanking" something - you might as well have them on since you're not using specials.
3. Any other time that you want the extra damage, but don't want to use specials.

When not to use them:
There are only two cases when you absolutely should not use VKs.
1. PvP Combat: Yes they add to your damage but you lose some range - keeping what range you have is critical in PvP!
2. Using specials: Unless you like to feel pain, leave these off when using specials. You'll kill yourself faster than most opponentswill kill you. The exception is if you have some heavy secondary stat buffs to offset the wild HAM costs - if you do, then feel free to use specials.

As a last note, when wearing VKs be especiallymindful of the combat window and watch for "that target is out of range" messages. If you see them you can try to move closer, but most likely you're fighting something really large which will just back up some more, to the point where it can hit you but you can't hit it. When this happens you'll have to take off the VKs.

I think i am the only tk that uses his vk's 24/7 I never take em off...i infact have 3 pair just incase one breaks in the middle of combat. And i use my specials all the time also. But i guees it helps that i never fight unbuffed, powerboosted, on muon, and using my zabrak vitalize. I normally have about 4k health and action and 2k mind. So I use my specials when ever i can.

I know this is definitely a ways off for me, but I am curious when Vks stop helping and start hurting a TKA? Right now they help me (I have 0/1/1/1) a lot but when will they become more of a hindrance then help? Power 4?

i am going to have to go with Malachus on this one. i dont buff, sometimes i use spice, but i HATE the feeling that i am running around on a timer, and that as i close in on the crash that i will be vulnerable and perhaps even incap.

just thinking through when and how to use knucklers will get you quite far.

Use VKs when I have to auto attack to regen stats. Carry 2 sliced for damage.

use vk's 24/7 and stay buffed 24/7. Fastest way to level Keep those 33mindcost 16mindmg on

don't forget, there's always the possibility to have VK's made faster, stronger, and with lower encumberance. It may take some effort though lol

i'm TKM and use my vk's because it doubles your damage.

do VKs give me unarmed xp. or do i have to fight with nothing?
