Unarmed hit 3 HAM cost? anyone?

Indeed, it is very very high.

How high, is "really high?"

300?

With around 500ish focus UA3 with a VK equipped is 30 mind ham. I never fight without doc buffs so I don't know how the other costs are like. With bare fists its around 10 at 500ish focus.

At 1100-1200 focus UA3 with a VK goes to around 15 and 6 without a VK.

This is a standard, damage experimented VK not one of the "low ham" versions. I havea low ham version VK that does 30-110/3.0 and the UA3 cost goes down to 20 @ 500 focus and 12 @ 1100.

Compare this to... say... Last Ditch Assault which is like 2 mind hehe.

saying the ham cost for unarmedhit3 is high is a horrible answer. it all depends on your secondary stats, whether you are using VK's, wearing armor. if your wearing composite armor plus using VK's and you secondary stats are set low then ya, the ham cost is very very high.

for me unarmedhit3 without VK uses about 50 ham. with VK it uses 60 H and 87 A. (no armor).

i am a trandoshan with strength set to minimum (600) my quickness is set to max (450). these 2 stats effect you HAM cost for your specials.

the VK's are 2.2 speed 42 - 202 damage and HAM cost of 40/55/29

Actually it's fair to say the HAM cost is high, in a relative sense. Unarmed hit 2 costs me about 22 HAM (full Ubese minus the helmet, no VKs), and Unarmed hit 3 is in excess of 60. My secondary physical stats in those conditions are pretty low (highest is strength, which is 102 I believe), secondary mind stats are about 300 focus and 500 willpower.

I'm not saying it's horrendously high or anything, far from it, even at 60 I can continuously use UH3 for quite some time. However, compared to UH2 the cost seems a little out of line:

UH2 - damage mod=3.0, cost=22HAM
UH3 - damage mod=4.0, cost=60HAM

I don't recall the cost of UH1 since I haven't used it since unarmed 4, but it's a 2.0 modifier. Again this isn't a complaint, just making the point that the cost appears high compared to skills further down the food chain =)

AHAHA! You guys are saying your hit3 (which is 4x damage vs pikeman's 3x damage) costs you 60 HAM unarmed and upwards of 160 with VKs? With my secondaries at 400/400/450, polearmhit3 costs me 245 total, without armor.

oh wait a sec... the guy with 60 ham is total ham w/o a VK. Multiply that by 3 for a VK cost.

Basic armored Unarmedhit3 is 75 HAM. I rarely take off my armor. I drink a Breath of Heaven and it goes down to 24 HAM. I am always drinking Breath of Heavens, its good stuff. Just make sure your chef uses the good stuff to get the 560+ ones.
