Thread: Innate Armor + Armor/Force Break

I would like to see Innate Armor become unaffected by armor/force break. Besides physically being impossible, a TKM will never be able to truly compete in pvp. I know there are other options but I shouldn't be forced to go medic to compete. Although making innate armor immune to armor break would lead a TK boom or something but maybe make just TKMs immune to counteract that problem. Just some ideas. Anyway, I really don't see how you can break innate armor and it really hinders TKM in the PVP world of stacked force breaks.

well i dont think we should be immune to armor break, but i defiitely believe we need some sort of counter for it, what with regular armor now being able to be sliced against armor break.

hehe

i dont think it'll ever happen cos our armour is free. but wearing armour does take away our dodge bonus. I suggested a food with resists against it, that way everyone wins.

If they removed that, some that are more than just TKM would be too tough. Like me.

TKM could be certified for some type of robes that gave defense vs. armorbreak.

I like the robe idea. I was thinking maybe a healing skill but it would take away from medical professions. Maybe a higher hp or higher stat regen buff skill or make all melee have a +to stat regen while in combat.

I agree.

Innate Armor is no skin of stone or something. So, Armor Break shouldnt work.

This would make innate "a little bit" too powerful, though...


Thats why I thought about this:

Stun, Dizzy, Blind would reduce innate armor.

All 3 states at the same time would equal AB.


Sure, you can recover states but nealry every prof can apply a state (even ranged) and there is no immunity (sp?)granted...

This would give innate something back after AB-slices and give states "some love".

I would NEVER loose a duel if I had something like that. But, being a TKM we sacrifice other things that other professions don't, I.E. damage output so don't say 'our armor is free' BS. Tkm does have its disadvantages. I think it would be only fair and I don't think it would create a TK boom. But even if it does, why does that matter? How is it different from a swordsman boom?

Actually after thinking about it. Alot of jedi would add TKM to their template to be immune to armor break. So it would not work. I retract my statement. Now back to Jedi Wars. I mean Star Wars.


I support an updated quest system for our regular galaxy and I refuse to pay for another expansion until that is done. I think they are milking us by only giving us new content after we pay for it. The quests of Empire Divided are outdated and an insult to every player. Also after 2 years of 15$ a month and 120$through buying the game and each expansion pre-order...I got a varactyl! My friend who just started gets a free month and a BARC for 30$. I am not mad I did not get a BARC. This is just an example of SOEs veteran loyalty. Now, I'm gonna go warm up next to my fireplace I just got for being so good.

Yeah I don't believe we should be immune. Even if we had a higher resistance to it could help. Don't ask for numbers...it was just off the top of my head suggestion

comment: TKM templates are some of the strongest PvP templates out there, even part of the strongest non-jedi PvP template atm TKM/MCM


comment: EVERY template that wants to be viable in PvP need some medic, doc or CM.. i dont care how good you are at PvP, if you dont have any healing you will do down, and you will do down fast.. its not a viable argument in this discussion because it effects everyone, not just TKM with IA.. im not saying it is the way it should be, but its the only way to compete atm

In my opinion, add an Armor Break Recovery in the master box. Give it a high cost to use (especially if someone is using a non-TK weapon). If someone wants it, they have to pay the full SP cost of the profession. Will it make TKM the flavor of the month again,possibly butas others have stated,TKA does have disadvantages . . . andI've actually seen padded armor with 6000Kkinetic/ 6000 energy . . . add a slice and you get some nice protection.


Or give us TK only tapes to put into clothing to make it even.

if you cant compete in PvP with TKM you are doing something so horribly wrong you should stop playing.


CoB, AB, KD, .... mixed with whatever your template is and using those attacks...
