I was wondering if anyone can recommend armor that I should be using for TK...im a novice TK now but I'd like to invest in a good set. Also, any good spots to grind to TKM? Thanks!

Just get a good set of kinetic ubese, dont need composite for grinding. And join a solo group on dantooine, then proceed to kill quenkers by the thousands
I did the tkm grind again a couple of weeks ago and used about 2 days from novice to master kiling quenkers, and then i played lazy to

Hurrtons, i can talk to a friend for the exact hurrtons to kill when but i know that doing it on hurttons u can go from novice to master in just shy of 6hrs. and for armor? buy some kinetic ubese, the problem with ubese is it decays EXTREMLY FAST! so u will go through more suits than u would with Compo but it should be that much cheaper that it makes a differance

sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but whats the advantage of using ubese? Do you grind faster?

No, it's cheaper for a similar level of kinetic protection (which is usually all you need for what you'll be killing during the TK grind) compared to comp which will cost about 2 to 3 times as much or more. As others have said, kill the quenkers (5-6K a mission depending on your group, do NOT take savage quenker missions you'll be sorry though). It's too bad the solo payouts got nerfed though because once I hit 0/0/2/1 on TK I started grinding on Jantas/Mokks and made lots of money like that lol. Yeah the xp wasn't quite as good but I didn't care I was seeing $$$ signs lol.

75% kinetic goes for under 100k, really nice stuff. Just get into melee range real quickly.

I have noticed that the spawns on Dant are really bad. I was leveling hunton stalkers and woudl have maybe 3 or 4 outside the lair when i showed up. I would kill them and start on the lair and in the end there would have been about 10 or 12 kills + the lair at about roughly 4k xp for each. Now when i go out I am finding 2 ugly dogs waiting outside the lair and im lucky is more then 4 spawn when i start hammering the lair. I go for the pikets now cause it seems like they are at least spawning more. I hate to run back and forth for the missions so i try to get the most of the lair i can. I was able to level very fast over the past 2 weeks ( i cant play everyday) I would log on and get 150k / 250k/ 350k in the course of about 2 nights and 1 full buff (2 hours and some minutes) btu all has come to a halt being they are not spawning and I am getting my A*& kicked now and cant heal anytihng.

No, no, no, here is what you do......

  1. Buy a 80% kinetic Composite armor chestplate (Black mwahah)

  2. Buy a 75% kinetic Ubese Armor leggings, Helmet, Boots, and gloves

  3. Buy a SPEED sliced Vibro Knuckler

Now you are ready to start grinding, go to Dantooine and get in a solo groups, buffs,etc....

  1. Grind on Quenker missions (pay around 5200 creditsor so) untill u get master power techniques,

  2. Once you have master power techniques (x-x-4-x) Start grinding on Huurton stalker missions (pay about 10,300ish)

  3. Learn Balance conditioning BEFORE u start on meditate tree, good defense and such,

oh and make a macro with unarmed spin attack (1 or 2 depending on level) and just target the lair, it goes faster, makes grinding easy

im deh mastah!

This is based upon the size of your group...
A larger group of people create a lair with more stuff... It caps out at about 12-15 huurton stalkers per lair.

And huurton stalkers are the best. Sucky resists, no ranged, posture, intimidate, or poison/disease special attacks! Plus they hit the XP cap.

As for the grinding gear; listen to the guy above me, he knows what hes talking about.
Once you're at master power techniques (the first tree you should do) get damage sliced ones of you can, as weapon speed is meaningless to a master power tachnique TK.

Thanks for the info and it makes a ton of sence. Things you have both pointed out surly addressed my issues. I made master last night. But you guys were right and i did not even think it was the issue. At first I was joining the autobots groups in the MO and then i stopped and was pulling out my lvl 70 gurreck to group with. I hated waiting for someone to leave the group so I could join. So that answers the spawn issue.

My other questions now that I have TKM was I read someplace at that lvl you dont need to have armor. Is that true? I would like to remove this COMP being i have been wearing it since I started playing in 7/2003 (no not the same armor i had to buy new) it would be nice to start wearing something differant. Also I read that depending on if you are buffed or not makes a big differance if you should fight with a weapon. I tried this last night and did notice that my mind ham was used very little with out the weapon. But I was buffed and understand that without a weapon the ham cost would be lower so I take it that with out a buff it would be recommend to not use a weapon. Or do I have this backwards? IE risk the ham lose for the higher hit points with out a buff and holding a weapon reliying on speed and damage to take out the foe. Thanks Jugg....
