Thread: What replace unarmedhit3??
If you want higher damage specials you will need to buy into one of the other melee professions.
Even Melee Assault, the Master Brawler special, outdamages any TKA special.
OK...
1. It seems that the version we have live at the moment is really not finished ![]()
2. I might be wrong but I think a dev said that not all the moves are implemented yet. (during beta and that what we have live is still beta)
3. If I am wrong and we already have all moves there is no need to go higher than unarmed IV (for the look)

who knows.... We have like 2-3 combat moves now...
yay.. its easier
Not to mention that the animations for the 3 moves TKM's have now suck.
Ok I"m going to ramble some here, This is how both her and I see SWG now. They are making the game only combat. For TK to be any good now she would have to drop Master Tailor a profession she loves and pick up another combat profession. I think the ones that will leave this game are those who played the game because it was different. How this game was a hybrid game of combat/social skills with dancers and craftsmen. If you don't have 2 master combat skills now you are out of luck. They are saying either fight or don't. If you only want fighting in game there are a lot of better games out there that does that part better. (cough guildwars) .

I will agree that you can add moves by going up other COMBAT skill trees but to add to that note I don't believe that is fair to those people that play this game for other reasons then combat. My wife plays this game and when she started was a master dancer / master tailor. She finally wanted to try combat so after a year she dropped dancer and picked up TK.

True it use to be nice that you could pick up one profession for 92 skill points and be just about as powerful as someone who had invested all of thier skill points into combat...but I do see the reason they have taken it this direction. Your wife will obviously not be as powerful as someone who is all combat...but neither will she be completely gimped. I think the pure crafters are the ones who are worst hit by this system because even going on harvester runs a little flit can now drop and incap them, let alone harvesting on the advanced planets.
I do understand though that sony wanted to give a reward to those invested fully in combat, to those who spent all their skill points to earn money through combat instead of having a side profession for money. Their investment now has a return value unlike before. Your wife may not be able to take on the ultra high uber mobs now...but as a straight TKM I was able to take on many mobs on TC...I do hope we get the razor knucklers shifted to normal crafting Id hate to see the master level weapon be something you have to go out of your way for...
