Certainly does something, I've switched between TKM Innate and 1000 Defender Innate, and it's noticeably in TKM's favour.

My question is...Does TK Inate Armor stack with regular armor? Or is it in place of regular armor?
So..should I be wearing my Comp Armor with TK or not?

You use either TK Inate Armor or the regular armor. They don't stack. If you put any other armor on, the TK armor is "turned off".

Do we know how Innate Armor relates to regular armor? I Refitted a good set of Composite into padded armor with 4600 or so stats, and it seems to protect me better than Innate Armor does by about 40 or so points of damage. I read somewhere that Innate at 60 (TKM) was supposed to equate to armor at 6000.
Might Innate have different ratings for engergy/kinetic?

First let me say my original template was TKM/Master Swordie
Duelling with a Jedi friend as swordie and wearing StormTrooper Armor I was being hit for 150-250 damage with the occasional mid 300.
Ended the duel, took off my armor equipped my VK, Jedi used same attacks against me was being hit for double damage, then put on stormie armor and damage done to me dropped to the 200-300 range with the occasional high 300 to low 400.
Went out to a level 50 rebel mission base. As TK, in clothes not armor, was incapped and killed in about 35 secs. Stim d's that heal 400 damage didnt do anything to help me out. Switched to hammer with armor and was able to barely defeat the mission.
TKM, a character class which according to the lore of Star Wars is supposed to be a police force against rogue jedi are now mediocre at best. Everyone has better armor then our supposed tank class and there is no way in heck a tk can even stand toe to toe with a jedi anymore, let alone a mob of equal level. I personally can not believe that lucas arts signed off on this

Improves your ability to avoid dmg, IE more misses by MOB
About Inate Armor I wish they had a comparision ingame that showed what those points of "inate TKA armor" mean in terms of actual dmg avoidence, I have no way of knowing whether my TKA armor is better or worse the my padded set...

well, i can generally say by watching the combat spam that my innnate TKM armor (i.e. the maxed modifier of +60) absorbs approx (just a rough eye-estimate based on combat spam) 50% of most attacks. Stacked with CoB and such it providesa healthy defensive set for us TK's
