Stop making us take health damage for using special moves. This is what an action pool is for.

Now, lets think of this realisticly...these are the reasons we take health damage for moves....

/unarmed lunge ---> you sorta knock your opponent down but you trip on a rock in the process and take xx number of health damage.

/unarmed hit1 ---> you kick and punch the crap outta your opponent but in the spinning process you accidentally run into your other hand on the way around for xx health damage

/unarmed blind ---> you pull off a cool head butt but it hurt your head in the process taking xx from your health pool

/intimidate ---> you scare the bejesus out of your opponent but it hurts your health pool for xx to look so scary

/warcry ---> you scream or whatever loud enough to slow your opponent but you hurt your throat in the process causing xx damage to your health pool

/unarmed spin ---> you punch in all directions hitting all the enemies around you while looking extremely pimp but you accidentally mistakened yourself for an enemy too and cause xx damage to your health pool.

Really though...is this why I take damage to my health pool when i use a special? **edit**, us unarmed folk are some incompetant mofo's aren't we?

C'mon people..this should be the number one concern for all classes, especially us...our health pool is the only thing we got when we're tanking for everyone else so why penalize us for trying to stay alive?

I can kind of see where they were going with the health damage...

I mean come on, our hands are our weapons, if we were beating the crud out of something with a hard shell or armor our hands would hurt, wouldnt they?

I don't like it, but I can see it.

I agree, health damage happens. Don't believe me? Punch your wall... As hard as you possibly can, and then do it again. Now that your knuckles are really hurting, ice them so that you can move your fingers again and type out the results of said experiment. Seriously though, everyone's specials take some from health, action and mind, no matter what combat class you are. AND, the mind pool reduction is what really needs to be reduced, as the other two can easily be healed.

Agreed... my mind takes enough damage from every blaster-toting Han-wannabe. <<<< would that make them a Hannabe? MORE CAFFEINE! I am losing it!

Actually, all special moves deplete all pools. It's just that Health is (currently) impacted more for TKAs.

That's part of our built-in nerfing; our moves do Health damage to us, but for half of our careers we do damage to random pools of our targets.

I totally agree that it should be Action damage, since we're like, doing stuff. Like, agility-based actions.

My knuckles aren't hurting... I missed. Gee, I still have damage, though.

huh? this would only be valid if the only bar that took damage from the attacks of others was the health bar. I'd rather it be evenly distributed than wear down only one bar.

The real one and only concern? Kiting!

Uh. My Action bar is what goes down the fastest. I have Action and both contributing atributes maxed and its still a problem. I dont think we need anything to take more action. plzkthx.

lets see you all punch and kick over and over. im sure you get fatigued and weak.

its realistic. but needs to be toned down quite a bit. im not sure if its this thread but, make a quick button for arming your knuckler. click the knuckler off when using knockdown. some guy posted about incapped from an unarmed knockdown in one of these 15 nerf threads.

yeah i do that already (hotkey my vk and take it off to kd or what not).

I guess in the end, different people lose different stuff but to me it makes sense (seeing as we are already taking hits to health from mobs) that we should lose and (or at least as much) health as we are.

I'm just tired of not getting to use specials hardly at all. I mean, we work hard for em and prolly harder than the other classes. Why O GOD WHY must we take such a huge penalty when we wanna use em?

It's just that simple.

If you look at how brawlers are slanted during character creation, you will notice that we are expected to have high health.

The race which is geared towards TKA (trandoshan) has the best health and worst action of all the races.

Its fine the way it is. My only gripe is the mind damage. I thing brawlers should take less mind than ranged for ther specials. Just my opinion though.

To be fair, it all makes sense as far as game mechanics go. I personally think trying to make logical sense out of game mechanics or game ballance issues is pointless. Apples and oranges.

ok..maybe i'm overreacting...i haven't been on since the latest patch but from the sound of it i think that without any question or hesitation that the overwhelming and irrefutable PRIMARY concern is simply one word...

VIABILITY

that's all i want to know. are we viable? are we becoming less viable? is there a point to still working towards master TK?

please let me know because i'll just go be like everybody else and be a CH or a BH. these seem to be the DEVS favorite profs (I've heardthat CH is).
