Thread: Gonna miss TKM...
Well I *finally* found a Holocron (Sith Cron, Dark Trooper missions from Coronet). Of course I get the one profession I was hoping I would not get. The profession I hate more than anything.... Bounty Hunter. Bah... All my BH friends are never gonna let me hear the end of this one after I laughed at them in duels when they said a TKA couldn't beat a BH.

Don't do it. If you are serious about pursuing a chance at a Jedi Slot, start a fresh character on another server or buy a second box to support it with your TKM.
Trust me, if you follow through, you will regret this for the rest of your time in SWG.
If you're wondering why, think about this: Unless MBH is your last skill you need to fufill the Jedi requirements, you can expect to weep as you surrender 400-600 hours of Investigation to go after the next skill.
On Starsider, I refuse to use a Holocron since I am only 2 boxes and 6 Skillpoints from MBH. I would rather finish my Character, and never doubt my decision.
Well Iam going to finish my original template first, which I'm almost done with (TKM, Master Smuggler, 3/4/4/4 Pistoleer) and enjoy it for awhile. I also have 900k Unarmed XP banked to get a lot of it back... Its the Investigation that I'm worried about. I don't know, I may not do it after all, you make a good point
Think again. You have 900k banked now, but watch that number start to plummet as you start giving up boxes under TKM.

Actually it won't plummet unless you get some unarmed xp naturally after you surrender some skills.
For example, I had surveying 4 and 20k of extra xp. I gave up all four boxes of surveying and still had 20k xp. However the first time I surveyed and got some xp my total xp dropped to 1000 (twice what is needed for the first box.)
If i understand correctly, one is not able to start another character on another server and be able to use the holo...There is no way to transfer it to that char.
I have 2 accounts. 1 was a Master Ranger / Master Rifleman. The other is my Teras Kasi Master / Doctor / Smuggler. I love this character too much to give it up, so the 2 Holocrons I found went to my Ranger and he can drop his gimpy skills.

SOE has stated that the chance of opening your FS slot did in fact take into account what other characters you had on other servers.... Of course most people don't read....as evident by the holocron craze....

why the hell become a TKM , the master of jedi slaying, if you plan on giving it up one day.
elite elite TKA will be stonger then jedi, hold out for the expansion, you'll be glad you did. We will be like commandos, only instead of ATSTs and rancors, we'll be dropping Jedi.
but then again, if you became a TKM, and will so easily give it up, then good ridance. We do dont need you nor want you. If you are actually gonna give up TKM because of a stupid holocron, then seriously im happy. I dont need any brothers that will drop thier lifes work due to some Jedi tricks. Your mind is weak.
Never happen. As long as Jedi are permadeath, they'll rightfully rule PvP with an iron fist.
