Hey All,
How many of you think it's time for some new clothing for TKM's? Maybe some qui's with either defense mods... or perhaps a *hardness* mod that adds to our base inate armor? I personally am tired of walking around in just normal clothing. Heck... the Jedi Padawan robes look more like something a TKM should be wearing!

It's a cool idea, but other profs would need something to call their own if that were the case...

Are you implying profession specific armor? That'd be a pain in the arse for crafters and customers alike x_x
And if you weren't implying profession specific armor, then my point still stands, other profs would complain about it...

Assault Armor for BH's and SL... Battle Armor for Swordsman, Fencer, Pikeman, etc...
Oh yeah... they can wear FACTION armor too.
What does a TKM have that we can call our own? Crappy weapons and... and... oh wait, that's it! ![]()

they could change the intitate armor so that you only get it if u wear lets say a new type of robe, however then every time you see a tk theyd alll look the same. If they could implement a seriese of new clothing for tkm and keep the tks looking diffrentthat might be kinda cool

I don't think it matters what kind of loving we get or don't get, or any profession gets - the BH and jedi are going to complain anyway

Personly, I'm againest the idea of any specific clothing for TKA (with the possible exception of a sash which would maybe be earnt from a themepark or something similar) & have been since we had a discussion about this back when Ryutek was Correspondent. Why?
Since everyone would look the same, while of course you could say 'you don't have to wear it' the fact remains that if it gives a bonus, people feel that they must wear it to be the best they can, how ever many, many TKAs pick TKA so that they can remain looking unique, they can dress how they like & never worry about it, hell I know my backpack is full with clothes most the time, some for RP reasons, others just as they look cool etc. The majority of the comunity in the past have always agreed, it's much more fun to look yourself then to look like everyone else, it's one of the reasons many are so glad we did not get an armour Cert with the CU.
One of the biggest problem with the discussion is simply that people never agree with each other as to how they see TKA. Some see us as Monks, dedicated to their training, others more as a fighting poster-boys like I believe the EU says some are, & the EU is so general that when it comes to TKA they we never really know what we truly are.
Personly, I'd much rarther see the Dev time going in to new clothes for everyone so that people can pick how they want to look. You can make your own robes very easily with a bit of help from a tailor, it's all a case of just going out there & seeing what there is. As a tailor myself I can say there are many clothes that are hardly used, some of which can work really well in the right combo. Personly I just hope that the Devs will listen to the argument for lifting the restrictions on certain BE materials for tailors so we see even more varity in what people wear.
